Hehe, I should load up as an MP3 "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" by Dream Theater -- the live version performed on their Score album. 41 minutes and 33 seconds of sheer epicness. I'd like to see the score on that one, especially from a good player <3
The long loading times drag this game down a lot. And I get that you have to use your light powers to finish the game, but mapping jump to Space and flash power to E makes absolutely no sense. Also protip for those having trouble with the timed challenges: you actually move a little faster when jumping (especially on flat ground), so little bunny hops will give you a few extra precious seconds most of the time. I like the concept but the execution needs work. 3 out of 5.
Tip on earning the hard badge: If you get an A- or S-rank on one of the bonus levels, it counts towards unlocking the other bonus levels. You can do these instead of trying to A-rank Level 20 if you're having trouble.
Hard badge really didn't feel that hard. If you know what you're doing it only takes a couple tries max to beat each level after adjusting your strategy a little.
The Shadow Boss at the end of each day is pretty annoying at first, it takes a bit of learning curve, but once you know how it works, it's not too bad. I reccomend you at least get max Fortitude (take damage without dying), healing (recover by standing still after being damaged), and max Relationship (give the boy at your home 200 gems and your health will be doubled). Regen, Double Jump also reccomended. Pretty good game though 4/5
Hard badge isn't that hard if you know what to do. Every time you finish a level, pause the game and the clock will stop (it usually runs for a few seconds after each level finishes)... you can save yourself a lot of time that way, and it will be a lot easier to make 3:40.
What I think should be the badges for this game, if they get them:
Easy - Complete the first three stages of the game.
Medium - Complete the game by defeating the final boss.
Hard - Dodge bullets and destroy enemies long enough to earn a x100 multiplier.
Pretty decent for a shoot 'em up. Not really that hard for bullet hell veterans (like myself, I've killed Blue Wish Resurrection Plus' extra boss on Hell), but will provide a reasonable challenge for a casual player. Could use some really hard bosses but 4 stars.
Whew, this is quite possibly the haredst thing I've played since "I Wanna Be the Guy: The Movie: The Game" Not bad, but could use a little more control, the meat guy too often flies right into oblivion.
