A small skill system, and a few passive cosmetic items would actually make this game far more successful. Things like badges that improve movement speed, attack range, pick up distance, or health regen would be nice to see on badges, rings, or necklaces or any other items of the like. This game has a lot of potential since it's clearly alive and ... moderately complex. Honestly, it's the underwhelming combat and lack of any real skill required, that makes this less enjoyable than it could be.
Honestly, it's a nice game. Fun, simple, quick ... almost too quick... Actually. It's definitely too quick. And No Happy Ending? Kind of depressing... Maybe if I would have talked to the tree a little more instead of firing off rounds near it, it would have been a happy tree.
But if I'm talking to trees at the end of the world, then there's clearly no happy ending for me, or my barely surviving brain.
