Abra, I appreciate your effort on this. It seems as if it's working sometimes. One of my characters which I couldn't previously access is now accessible. One still isn't. Great job though. It's definitely an improvement.
Nice, quick iterations on fixes. You're putting a lot of time into this game, and it certainly shows. Thanks for taking a shot at these save issues. I haven't been able to reproduce the issue, but then again, I don't want to screw up my level 52 mage. That being said -- despite being careful -- I haven't run into any save issues recently.
Saved games are a serious issue with this game. I like the game, but I now have 3 characters that I can't access due to save issues. This has made me quit playing the game. Telling people to go backup their games by copying files all over the place isn't reasonable. Please fix your save code to be more robust. Perhaps use some redundancy when saving files? ie. have 2 save files for each character. Then only delete the old save after you can verify the new save file isn't corrupt.
As a developer myself, I understand that you are doing this in your free time and doing it for fun. Fixing bugs isn't nearly as fun as adding features. However, it's necessary if you want people to enjoy your software.
For some reason, I eventually can't select my characters. It doesn't do it all the time, but so far I've lost a 29 warrior and a 43 rogue this way. Very frustrating. For my rogue, it happened right after my lap top suddenly powered down. I'm wondering if it was in the middle of a write when it happened. Regardless, it's happened twice now.
@Booblyccom: I meant something along the lines of stats. When I increase that red tower a level, what's it actually doing? With the yellow one, I see it increases range a bit, but can you show how much more damage upgrading does?
I have to say that I absolutely love Conceptis's games. Whenever you come out with a new one on Kongregate, I snatch it up and don't put it down until it's finished. I assume that this is the same Conceptis that makes the actual puzzle books (yes, like with paper). If so, let me just say that they are wonderful also. I hope a color-pic-a-light book comes out (or is it already?). I plan on looking once I can peel my eyes off this game.
This game is fantastic. One of the better TD games I've played. There are tons of new concepts here. It's too bad the game was so incomplete at first. There are now tooltips and things are much more obvious. Don't be fooled by the low rating. The game is definitely a 5/5 now.
It would be nice if items that you have equipped didn't show up in your inventory; or at least have an option to filter out equipped items so they aren't accidentally sold, and don't generally clutter up the inventory
What am I missing? I've only been able to get to level 8 on normal...everyone talks about how easy this is, but starting at level 8, I just sit there going back and forth and neither of us are able to get to the other person's castle.
