This game copied the entire game elements from other games, you know lots of other flash and commercial music games just like this. Copying them is actually fine, when you have a flashing new idea that makes the game different from others (not concerning the legal aspect, though), but this game copied them very badly.
The key to music game is the synchronocity but this game just ignores it. The pattern just looks like one that developers ear-copied it and never tested against the actual music, so the music actually hinders the game play. (Seriously, I can't understand that repeating parts have the patterns which very subtly differ only by the spacing!) And even more, it lags. It's so severe that repeatedly tapping same key ALWAYS breaks the streak. What's the point of the Santa animation when you can't solve the lag?
It is ridiculous that the game actually manages to receive badges. (Is it just a thematic decision? *sigh*) Eye candies are not a substitute for good game play. 2/5.
Quite a good game, and mechanics are excellent enough to actually make me think. But many later levels can be actually solved by inferring the possible position of pots, so it becomes a lot easier than what it looks like. In this regard my favorites are level 24 and 31, where you have lots of possible configurations and still have to figure out how to work around the constraints. Great game though. 4/5.
I like the simplicity of the game (yeah, it lags a bit but mostly fine) but IMHO the music is best. My personal best was 56 Messages by echoed, which can be downloaded at http://ccmixter.org/files/echoed/24301; you may get others via dig.ccMixter.
How to get the hard badge: 1) Earn other 76 other achievements first, save for 15000+ meters and 1000000+ scores. This should be not very hard but perfect jump streak may be tricky. Get it anyway. 2) Launch some more heavy jobs in your computer that would make the Flash slow. While it wouldn't make the game easier of coursee, it will give you slightly more time to decide the next step. 3) Count the number of tracks so far, LOUDLY. It will keep you from being boring and making mistakes because of it. 4) When the number of tracks reaches 400 you will certainly get two or more achievements. Your mileage may vary but 400 is the conservative upper limit so don't mind.
3/5. While 5151 thing is somewhat reasonable, I didn't realize that there ARE valves in the fourth room until reading comments. There is no visual cue or whatsoever. Heck.
it's excellent. i cannot even imagine how to create such levels more than sixty times... if it were just an anagram quiz, anyone can just look up anagram solver (like http://wordsmith.org/anagram/) but with mutation it gets even more creative. 5/5
lvl 25 is quite annoying, but not that hard: the principle is to make the ball touching the center of the paddle (as close as possible), thus minimizing the horizontal move. the ball could stay still with the luck :p
i found that generally radar pattern with swift hand does the job -- at least for me. you can predict next pattern more easily with radar pattern, and if you can move the mouse cursor radially without hitting red ones you can easily get the most (80%+) shapes.
i cannot understand that these badges are medium, as i easily beat them in ten minutes (despite that i'm not good at such games at all!). they both should be easy.
it seems to have a bug in certain case, which makes the timer unreliable (sometimes the timer stops at negative time). i have (unknowingly) seen such cases many times, and it may be platform-specific as i use Flash Player 10 in Mac OS X 10.5. i hope this to be fixed soon.
