If you are still working on ant invaders then i got some good ideas:
-Make a background. You see from above so make a forest or something from above
-Change the little dots to soldiers or something (if you cahnge them to soldiers can you lower the speed on them)
Then it would look like its soldiers fighting in a forest or something :D
