It's a fun game. I love the quirky characters and funny monster designs. I do have one complaint though and it's that towards the end of the game I find the difficulty curve goes through the roof and getting through some of the battles is next to impossible. Also some of the battles feel tedious esp. when you get ones that have 3 or 4 waves in them.
You know, I find it distressing that games like this are getting such high ratings. Is this seriously what we want out of our games? Sitting on our asses waiting for stuff to happen with absolutely minimal involvement? Oh but you can spend money to speed things up. Greeeeeeeeat! ¬___¬
It would be a cold day in hell on the night of a blue moon before any of these games got any of my money.
Ok, perhaps my previous comment was a little uncalled for. To phrase it in a more diplomatic manner, while the dialogue in this game isn't bad, it just goes on way too long and there's way more of it than actual game play. I only got to play the intro mission before getting crushed under the weight of all the meandering dialogue.
This game is incredibly dull. Most of the time is spent waiting for stuff to build/upgrade. And it's nearly impossible to battle because certain classes of heroes are only effective against certain classes of enemies and weak against others, but my heroes of those classes are arbitrarily "tired" or "exhausted." Also it'd be nice if I had more direct control over combat instead of more waiting and watching.
I kinda wish this was multiple choice. I've done this multiple times just to challenge myself, and I don't know how many times I've known the answer, but had to skip it because I couldn't spell the damn thing.
