Worse wall jumping mechanic I've ever attempted.

What a minute. Circumpolar Society for Arctic Research??? There are no penguins in the arctic! I'm starting to think this whole story is made-up.

Definitely needs a stroke counter and a way to change the camera angle.

I guess all that time I spent using copy and paste to manually stitch photos together before Photoshop wasn't wasted after all.

To clear the waters a bit with problems with Rock King Roll, the character is not "frozen," per se. I too experienced this, but figured out that it happens if you jump into a wall just right while still holding down an arrow key in the same direction as the wall (e.g. hit a wall on the right side while holding the right arrow key). If you simply release the arrow key you will stop trying to walk through the wall and simply fall back down to the lower platform - then you die by bolder >_<.

There should be a way to either release control of the Eye or have the Eye automatically close at the end of a level; most of the time after a level I want to pull in a cannon to reload or upgrade but I have to wait precious seconds for the Eye to burn itself out so that I can have my mouse back.

Screw it. A miniscule chance at an Xbox isn't worth jumping into a wall this many times.

Everyone today whines, "Upgrades, upgrades, upgrades!." Whatever happened to enjoying a game for what it is? What about the satisfaction of overcoming an obstacle with nothing but what you were spawned with? This is a fine game in true retro spirit. "Enjoy it. Don’t ask it to be nothing else but what it is." – Ray Bradbury; The Marian Chronicles; 1958.

This is a fairly good avoidance platformer with a dire atmosphere and nice twist to the ending. Obviously it could use some polish, but I won't repeat what others have already pointed out. I would diffidently recommend a save feature. Between work and school, I rarely have time to play an entire game outright. Also, while the addition of speech was a nice touch, several of the voices were too soft for me to hear (my laptop speakers were on max). Either a separate volume controls for voice, effects, and music or togglable captions would be great.
Developer response from mstango

Thank you for your feed back... wow, that sounded bureaucratic. Sorry, I'm not very good at taking complements, but thank you. As to the other stuff: I hadn't considered a save feature, but I can see how that would be useful, I'll consider adding one with the next patch. See patch will also include a reset button and a few other polishes. Thanks for playing.

This is one of the finest philosophical/moral flash games I've played. The art, music, and script all show such high production values; I didn't even find too many typos. I've long settled on the unknowable nature of philosophy and loved taking some of the "greatest" minds of all time down a notch. Plus, I love the Arbiter; he reminds me of Q.

The concept itself is interesting; however, the control schemes are very aqward on my setup - even the alternate ones. That combined with the glitchy jump and "sifting" responses I encountered makes for a game I won't be getting into. Most of the time I was jumping without knowing for certain whether or not I would switch dimensions. Then again, I guess that's the way it is with dimensional rifts.

I love the game (that's why I'm replaying it before trying the sequel). However, I just found a major flaw in the save system. Last night I exited the game with level 8 unlocked, all treasures found, and 3/5 challenges completed on levels 5-7. I come back today and I'm all the way back to level 6, 1 treasure missing on level 5 and only one challenge completed on level 5 as well. >:-(
