The clanky closing sound effects and crazy metal music actually did wonders in making this game more dramatic and interesting. Hearing that *BANG!* when the walls shut and that "Oh god, Did I make it!?" moment was worth the play. =) 4/5
The inclusion of Left 4 Dead references would have made this a 5/5, but then i kept playing. and playing. and playing Through about 25 more levels that were in no way comical, bumped yourself down to 3 violent random suicide jumps outta 5 nutcasenightmare.
When this game loaded up I didnt have high expectations. Only having four choices of towers seemed very lacking, but when I began play I understood. This game is an exemplary hybrid of a Tower Defense and a Heroic Defender, the content lost in tower creation is more than made up for in your little green robot's surprisingly vast array of skills. Challenges the player to use their towers effectively as well as in junction with their own avatar's abilities. I have never seen this style of game executed so well. Absolute 5/5
Okay, Touching and emotional and whatever, if you're into that, I get it. But the developer's own comment was correct, this isn't really a game. It doesn't keep you interested or engaged, there is no challenge, I just found that as you are wounded and move slower, the game gets more annoying. If Pixelante wants to portray the story without adding gameplay, they should have made a flash movie. The majority of my time was spent side scrolling right, while button mashing my entire keyboard to see if i was missing something, because the story was not progressing. 3/5 because this could have been so much better if actual game elements were incorporated into the story.
Really enjoyed this game until i ran out of weapons to upgrade, and realized the only weapon i would ever want to use is the shotgun. The perks are nice, but at times I felt I was forced to choose one I had no use for. The cutscenes are alright, but the main draw in humor is the description of weapons and perks. Solid 4/5
Great game, but logic quickly gives way to random clicking and dragging, and abusing the hint generator. However, with elements like Ghost and Skyscraper what do you expect? Intro is funny, and the game is well thought out. 5/5 for strong atheist undertones, haha.
Fantastic game. The gameplay is static, but the basic enemy design is interesting and genuine. Completely addicting, and the powerups results are very visible and rewarding. What truely ties this game together is the humorous and memorable story, the fact that it was voice acted added to the effect greatly. 5/5 and favorited, kudos 2DArray
Meh, alright for the sake of time killing, but the sniper aspects were ruined by the focus on cute story. None of the puzzles are that challenging, and the two useful upgrades are only present to make gameplay less annoying, not improved. 2/5
I became completely addicted to this game, despite dying at least 200 times. >.< Enjoyable flow between security levels, gives a good idea of where and when you need to move after receiving the creative and useful powerups. Enemy design was also well done. 4/5
I see this as too much of a story driven game to be made into a platformer, because no matter what anyone says, the platforming gameplay was VERY basic and unoriginal. This also limited the creator in how much of a story element he could add. The father figure could only communicate in very short sentences. The ending was senseless. "Tadaa! you touched a coin! the end!" The annoying high pitched background noise also made me beg for a mute button until I tried to rip my ears out. Not nearly as epic as it is made out to be. 2/5
Yawn. Unimaginative P&C. Its a linear jog through a sloppy drawn, nonsensical world. I mean really, I cant rip the cabinet door off of the window, and create a footlong opening in my barricade without dying? I just had to repair a gaping hole in the wall with arms sticking through it, and then stood unprotected on the top of a van covered in zombies for a few minutes. really? Navigation through the rooms with the arrows is clunky, and I don't need to be reminded where i am going with a screen pause. The soundtrack, hereby entitled, "High pitched wind whistle with occasional overbearing, annoying groan" almost made me quit. Despite all of this, I will admit I enjoyed piecing the story together through the notes found throughout the game. The brother character relationship seemed believable, and if the item collection didn't cue you directly into what you needed to do next, some puzzles would have been really creative. Still, 2/5.
See funny story. I just played a game that was fun and quirky for about 2 minutes, then boring and repetitive for about 20 more, and didnt get the badges. haha. 3/5
This game was just laughably easy. I have never seen an arcade game like this. I put it on frantic mode on my first try because I wanted to see if I could survive a few seconds. Played the whole episode no problem. If you are going to make difficulty modes at least create one with an actual challenge to it. The sound track is a repetitive mess of semi-rock. However, the scatter designs were well made. 3/5
Oh my god that made me so happy! I laughed like crazy during the dialouges! I am leaving the THANKS FOR PLAYING! screen up so i can listen to the rawrs. 5/5
Wow, awesome. I wasnt expecting it to be a time travel chronotron-esque game, and sold it short because of it. The story is whiney and doesnt really make sense until the final level, but when all of the pieces come together the story is actually really fantastic. Although mildly terrifying. 5/5
Oh I get it...they called it Grayscale because its bland and grows dull and listless quickly. Takes too long to become even remotely challenging, and no, its not unique. 2/5
