Having finally gotten a perfect score on every song in the game, I can at last put it behind me and never look back. The fact that I spent the ridiculous amount of time necessary to accomplish this goal -- despite the fact that I dislike all of the songs -- is a testament to the quality of the game (though we shouldn't discount the fact that I don't have easy access to Guitar Hero). Bravo!
Nice job! Reminded me of Hotel Dusk: Room 215 for the Nintendo DS. It'd be nice to have a save feature so you don't have to read through everything again if you don't have time to finish it in one sitting. I really like the way you have to validate your accusation at the end, but I do wish the mystery was a little harder to solve. Of course, maybe it would have been harder to solve if I hadn't read the comments here before I finished the game (thanks a lot, PTwheelz).
Yeah, the timer should begin when the buzzer sounds; then it would actually be measuring your reaction speed. As it is, it's just measuring how long you had to wait for the buzzer to randomly sound.
Fun! I love the variety of weapons and the fact that the playing field is different on each level. The general visual design could use a bit more polish, and the game was dropping frames on me fairly often (which can be really frustrating in a game that moves this fast), but otherwise, this is really nicely done!
Cute game, fun graphics, but it moves a little slowly for my tastes. Especially when there's more than just three or four characters on screen, things get a little processor-intensive, and running underwater is just downright annoying. The foreground graphics get in the way sometimes when you're low on the screen and it's sometimes hard to tell what you can jump onto and what you can't. It's a cool game, but it could use some refinement.
The general atmosphere is spot-on, but I agree that it needs more strategy than just "look for the hot spot." You _did_ describe it as experimental, though, so you can't be blamed. It's a nice start; can't wait to see where you go with it!
Very well done game! Fun premise, graphics, and gameplay. I haven't found a way to save a game, so I'm not sure why there are multiple save files to choose from at the beginning. But I've only played through the first one and a half levels so far, so maybe that's something comes up later.
Without being able to read French, I couldn't quite figure out exactly what I was supposed to do, and the controls are a bit wonky, too (I'm on a Mac, and I had to press the Command key every time I wanted to change the direction I was moving). The graphics and animation are nice; I just didn't really know what was going on. :\
I wish this game existed when I was learning to type! My only issue is that once things start getting really frenetic, the enter key doesn't work so well, which gets really frustrating. Otherwise, though, fun game!
Hello Gamma Bros, goodbye day. This is a really, really fun game. I love the overal 8-bit aesthetic, although it's pretty ironic that the file size for the audio should be so big, considering that the sounds it emulates originated 20+ years ago at much smaller sizes.
