The levels with just a few grains of sugar turn an otherwise good puzzle game into a stupid speed challenge, aggravated by how easy it is to make a grain stop moving altogether with a line that's slightly too crooked because it was drawn in haste. Level 24 finally made me stop wasting my time.
I just went from level 1 to the bottom and killed the boss without escaping or respawning on a shop level. It feels like there should be an achievement or badge or something for that. Great game though, 5/5.
"A few people are complaining that the bar just tilts to the right/left at the beginning. Something is nonstandard with your keyboard or the keys you are pressing." - No, since I tried this on two different machines with the same result and have no problems with any other game here or any other activity, your game is broken.
5/5. A very easy game that still holds attention and continues to be interesting, which is not an easy combination for game design. Two suggestions for possible improvement: Keyboard controls, and add more tiers of ship purchase (for maybe $20000 and then $50000?) so that all stats can be maxed simultaneously.
Alternating player turns instead of individual turns was a terrible idea. Either give each unit an action every round (thus outnumbering the enemy is actually meaningful), or let the player select which unit will take each of their turns.
