Typically - I despise the anime style games. I wouldn't have even looked at this game if it wasn't for the rating, and wouldn't have played without the comments. In all honesty, this is the most extraordinary and entertaining flash game I've seen. Genuinely phenomenal. Well done!
So, I start a "test" character to see if I like the game - only to be told in the game faq I had to dig for that I should "take my time and make sure" - that gender could not be changed. The tone was a bit grumpy.
Great job limiting playability and then insulting me for not mind reading. I actually would have liked to play.
I...ok. Easy, short, and...Kongregate really needs a forum for English consultation in the "Kollaborate" section. (Gongats???) At least spell it "Kongrats" so you can pretend you did it on purpose... Still...oddly, it was actually rather fun.
Only real suggestion I can give you - don't call them "code hint picture". Nothing wrong with "hidden scribblings" or some such.
Probably too late for inclusion...but I really wish the "Protectamon" collection would show you the upgrade paths of the units. I agree part of the fun of the game is figuring that kind of thing out - but that seems like a reasonable middle ground. Alternatively, when you find one, or maybe when you reach a certain reputation with that group - maybe the upgrade paths can show up in the protectopedia.
It would be nice if I could modify the location of a connecting point and have the bridge parts adjust. Minor changes take quite a bit of time. Along similar lines, "delete span" would be a nice middle ground between "delete piece" and "reset level". For instance, a level which requires three distinct bridges, I'd like to be able to click to reset just one. These are small gripes though - good game.
