It was a fun distraction, but I doubt I'll play it again. Too easy, and not anything close to "3-D" as the description claims. It certainly wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything outstanding.
I loved the first SHS, because slashing lots of guys in one swift stroke was a lot of fun. The movement controls were sub-par, but that was ok because you didn't need to maneuver much. But in a game where the movement controls are not the focus, platforming is the LAST thing that needs to be added.
To be honest, I've never been a huge fan of the Feudalism games. The only unit you control is your hero, but it seems like your troops do most of the work. Oh well, to each his own.
I enjoy the game, despite its immodest resemblance to M:tG. Couple issues: Ward of Light or whatever it's called is broken, as you can easily drop it into non-white decks. Also, and I can't stress this enough, STOP deleting my save file.
I really like the innovative mana system though. Well-done.
I love the game, but my problem is that I've beaten all the levels and now have nothing to play on there. You should add a random map option kind of like the bonus map. Maybe three- or four-faction levels or even multiplayer. Of course, I suppose these are all really suggestions for a hypothetical "Battalion II" (or like Battalion: Renegade or whatever you'll do for a sequel title), but still. I'd be waiting eagerly.
Great and challenging puzzle game. Requires you to be smart about rationing your bonus tiles and to use your resources carefully. However, it would be worlds better if it had a save feature.
