This is a true gem of a game - multiplayer gaming the way it should be played . Short turns, lots of strategy hidden behind an easy to understand mechanism. Really deserves to be much more popular than it is thus far. I'd play this 7 out of 7 nights a week.
Cricket by its very definition is a dry, slow sport - however the developer has really succeeded in turning it into a fast paced action game with some real addicitve gameplay. I can categorically say this is the best Flash cricket game on the internets.
Hey Kyochan, you're a moron. Get back to flipping burgers.
Awesome game, great coin-op style arcade gameplay and sweet animation. Very professionally done and clearly a cut above most of the platform games you see round here.
Well spotted... it's the same game engine. This is a satire for an upcoming political election in Australia. Quickest way to make a satire game is to use an existing engine rather than wasting time crafting a whole game engine just for such a purpose. Diesel and Death suited the job perfectly, so here it is. It has all the virtues , flaws and bugs of the classic game because it's the same game engine. Enjoy.
Its a shame you can't breed forum trolls in the game, you'd find most of the Kongregate audience behind bars. You guys love to whine, don't you but never give anything back. This is one of the more interesting games released in a while, colourful graphics and great humour. I think it's a great entrant in an under-represented genre - anyone who's ever coded a Flash game will know how more difficult it is to build a game like this than a zombie shooter or tower defence clone.
You forum trolls and your hate mongering. Sakkara, I'm talking to you. "Flagged", lol. Hapless fool. Anyway... about the game, it's a slick engine. Nice work, keep at it!
Great game, very polished and with an addictive quality. To the usual Kongregate Hate Machine below me, quit your bitching and either make a better game or shut the hell up.
Ahh Kongregate - truly home of the hater. You forum trolls thrive on rating good games down because you feel like you're "owed" something. The fact is this "demo" is several times larger than most games you'll find on the site. It's many months hard work by one guy, show a little class. At least play through the game before your reflexive and inane 1/5 posts and comments. Support indie developers.
Brilliantly done, evocative old school platformer from a more unforgiving age . Orpheus and Eurydice was one of my favourite myths. I take my hat off to you, good sir.
And furthermore, reading comments here and on other games is really an eye-opener. Flash designers work hard to bring you these games - constructive feedback is always appreciated but flat out abuse and flaming just is uncalled for. Without the indie developers, the would be no Kongregate. Some of us charge, some do not. It is your perogative whether you buy these indie games or not, but remember - every single person who has submitted even one game to a website has put many hours into its production - and they deserve your respect, not spiteful comments hidden by anonymity. Be kind to each other.
Bandshirts, your comments are divisive and spiteful. When you produce a game series that has been played over 70 million times worldwide like Swords and Sandals has, your opinion will be noted. Until then, back in your petulant box.
Further to my last comment - who is your artist, because he's obviously not the same guy doing the manga style artwork in the cutscenes. You could really use a bit of help with your in game art - then you'd really be onto something killer.
I always find it interesting when people spend many months on games but so little time on basic font placement and selection - great premise, music and nice anime cutscenes but your choice of fonts really needs some looking at. Particularly , and this is photoshop 101 , don't put a gradient bevel on every single font! Other than that keep up the hard work. If you want to continue this franchise, I suggest a less generic name ... Warlords was used several years ago as a commercial release.
Some of your comments are most foolish, children. This is the FULL version of the game - I should know, seeing as I made it. Stop your freeloader whining about "demo this/demo that"and just enjoy what you're given. If you enjoyed it, come try the multiplayer beta over at fizzy.com. Cheers Oliver.
