Ah, the beloved quote that I had kept as my entire description for 4 whole years. (2011-2015/7/11)
Hi, my name is heycoolguy1. I am a 3-year veteran of Kong (if you call that a veteran, anyways.) I am proud to say that I am one of the co-founders of the (unofficial) Gibson holiday, “Anti-Troll Day.” Celebrated every 9th of December. It would be shameful to act trollish during this day.
Anyways, I have some philosophy about the users of Kongregate. Generally, every player is divided among 5 classes. Each class has a few sub-classes.
“The Chatter”: The chatter is a social class. They are always seen chatting and making jokes. They don’t really care about badges, and rarely earn them. They friend many people— and are often friended back. In a nutshell, these people come on Kongregate solely for the chats.
Favorite genres: Idle games, Chat games ( games that don’t use any ram)
“The Adventurer”: The Adventurer is always walking down the path of (Kongregate) life.
You will often find The Adventurer chatting with his/her close friends on Kongregate or talking about topics he/she enjoys talking about. The Adventurer will enjoy earning badges, but enjoys chatting even more.
In a nutshell, The Adventurer is The Chatter, but with a bit less chatting chips off the block.
Favorite genres: Idle games, BoTD games, badged games that The Adventurer likes
“The Master”: The Master has mastered both sides of Kongregate: The Master is both an avid gamer who often collects badges, and a routine chatter. The Master likes chatting no more than he likes earning badges. In a nutshell, The Master keeps badges and talking in a perfect balance.
Favorite genres: Badged games The Master likes, BoTD games, Action games
“The Hushed One”: The Hushed One is an efficient worker. He/She is usually earning badges on games, and The Hushed One rarely ever speaks: they’re either too busy, or uninterested, to chat. In a nutshell, The Hushed One likes earning badges much, much, more than chatting.
Favorite genres: BoTD games, almost any game with badges (excluding the multiplayer games.)
“The Trophy Hunter”: The Trophy Hunter is the exact opposite of The Chatter. The Trophy Hunter is always earning badges and nearly nothing else. It can be months between the times The Trophy Hunter speaks, and it can sometimes just be a simple “Hi.” Some would daresay that they come on Kongregate solely for the badges. What does The Trophy Hunter want to do with all those badges? Do they want bragging rights? Do they want to become the number one point leader? Or do they just want to reach level 65? They all have their own reasons. In a nutshell, The Trophy Hunter earns badges and does not much else.
Favorite genres: BoTD games, Badged games ( They are more than happy to play Multiplayer games, ) Just about any game genre ( TD, Shooter, Action, etc.)
As for me, you ask? I’m a Hushed Hero. It’s a mix class: A few traits from the base classes are mixed to determine your rank. It’s up to you to decide what The Hushed Hero is.
