Okay….where to begin. I’ll start w/ this: I hope ya didn’t even notice my absence from your fine thread (backfire…) in a similar manner that I somehow failed to notice it. YOU, my board buddy, opened a vein in the beast of contentious human behavior and have let flow one helluva lot of good insights on why//how this happens. I deeply, sincerely HOPE ya don’t leave this forum….your voice of reason&rational are greatly NEEDED here (as they likely would be most anywhere ya go). So, please indulge my selfishness and linger a while longer. PLEASE.

Just last nite, I was talking w/ the wife during our regularly scheduled “philosophical hour”…..LOL, ya’re batcrap if ya think I’m THAT organized. BUT, we were talking about how//why ppl develop mindsets that are different from other ppl’s. This “backfire effect” fits very nicely into the concepts we were exploring…..hoping to catch another small glimpse of life through the doors of perception. The wife is yet abed, I will show her your thread as soon as “morning fog” clears….lol
I’m as pleased as I am surprised at the candor of civility being presented on your thread. I’m highly enthused by the many excellent posts,,,,so much that I’ve PMed Zshadow to read them and consider making your thread a “sticky” so those who choose to visit or “set up residence” (lol) here on SD can have an opportunity to read & understand what a most desired basic tone for discussion should be. Regardless of the eventual length of your thread, the first page (including the link ya give) is all that is really needed to establish a solid base from which a newbie to SD can launch into the mad fray in which we all so luv to stretch (and STRUT?) our “mental legs”.

Should ya actually leave (insert proper teardrop here), you will leave much of yourself behind here w/ us in SD. Most notably, in my opinion, your “backfire” thread. I so hope that in your reading of it, ya’ll find renewed vigor for sharing that most worthy essence that is known as YOU.

You have never heard from me before because I quite literally created this account for the sole purpose of yelling at someone who made a post last year about Rammstein being a “Nazi” band, and it really pissed me off that much, and you left a comment on that post too, so if you wish to read my totally epic rant, feel free to look at the guy who posted it’s profile under “shouts”.
