I really do not know why the Cursed Treasure games are held in such high regard. The presentation is excellent, and that each skill point used gives two bonuses is unique, but the gameplay isn't terribly distinctive, and isn't much of a challenge. I would like to see what is done with a proper sequel, if the game were to be fleshed out a little more.
Easiest way to get money: Sell all your weapons, sell all of your accuracy, just buy HP and team members. Play level one over and over again. Very quickly you will be earning more than 10,000 credits per round.
I like these games an awful lot, and am happy to have a chance to support the developer. But these "premium upgrades" are kind of just lame cheats, not something added to the upgrade path to change the balance of the game. And I even feel like purchasing them has taken a little bit away from the game because every time I launch the game, I have to manually disable all of them.
Why are people criticizing this game, it's beautiful. I'm not sure if I'll buy it yet, but I'm tempted to just because I'm so frustrated with the criticism. If you're saying it's inferior to Shift, I don't think you really know what makes this game or Shift work. This game has solid, solid, solid design. And the music is beautiful.
