3/5 because of glitchy controls, hitboxes, being trapped inside walls stuff. Fixing this would make it a 4/5 and mabe a full score, since story, animation and art are brilliant. But for now, I'm skipping. Sorry.
Niiiiice game. Liked the portal influence, but still this is a different concept. Levels would have been more challenging, if those hint-ish white crosshairs would not have told you where to place your bubbles.
Collision detection was sometimes a little too motivated: crushing me when simply trying to walk a narrow path (no placing of additional / or reset of bubbles, just strolling along).
Also liked that you'd have to go around-the-edge from level to level to reach certain spots. Well done!
This is one of those rare occasions I feel obliged to actually rate a 5/5. Thanks for making this game!
It's a nice game, nice artwork too, though there are some flaws:
1) Buildings have no real function in this game. Creatures take out earthlings first and then it's just waiting for buildings to get demolished.
2) Why isn't the alien "mothership" under fire? I can fly low on the ground, shake hands with soldiers and they'll happily wait for me laying some eggs.
3) Confirm, Confirm, Confirm, sigh, Confirm, Confirm, argh!, Confirm, Confirm
3) Way too many upgrades for each creature resulting in too much time spent fine tuning creatures' abilities. Given the number of different creatures, number of upgrade strategies for each creature, ability to skip upgrading in favor of unlocking another creature AND FINALLY the ability to determine the spawn order, this game is telling me I have to get a master's degree in Alien Management first.
This is the essence of the game, I wish this would be more arcade-ish though.
This game has GREAT potential, but then slows itself down :(
Sweeeeeeeeeeet!
I love that style. The visual and audio design is VERY well done. Sadly the gameplay hasn't received the same attention: tanks flipping over when leaving the factory on sloped ground or when being hit. Even at the last level I had 5 tanks equipped with Hull V and Wheels IV... when they rushed for the last enemy factory the started to capture it, got hit from above and flipped over to the right corner of the map. Laying there, unable to move, they waited to be shot down by the factory turret :(
Somebody already mentioned bad usability of the tanks' buttons when a few tanks overlap or the contsruction menu automatically fills the whole screen. I'd also like to see a return to base or 'defensive' button, because sometimes the tanks seem a little too optimistic.
Style: 6/5 (seriously, i love it!)
Gameplay: 4/5 (usability, bugs, upgrade balancing)
Overall: 5/5
Sometimes all it needs is a cute story and unique style. It's more like an interactive picture book than a game... but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. Games not always need you to level up a Level99 Night Elf just to be entertaining.
Nice concept, music, style... 5/5
Decent game, polished style. Sadly it could also be calles "Yet another Turret Defense game". And one that hardly brings anything new to the genre. I really miss some twist that would make this game unique amongst other TDs. But for what it does, it does it well. 4/5
Nice concept. Bike Movement could use some improvement and having to switch to mouse in the menus (retry, next level) is really annoying. Levels are way too short... let's say it's a concept demo and wait for the real game :D
Nice concept and style. Puzzles _could_ be a little more complex but I enjoy easy games far more than games that make me yell and throw things at my kitty. I definitely want more of this. Great stuff!
I'm not sure what to think. Ambience is superb. Great graphics, music, animation... overall style. But then... it's little more than a slideshow to click through. So... it doesn't quite qualify as a "game". But it's entertaining, nonetheless ;) And it looks cute!
I like the oldschool feel to it... but then again, the jumping feels a little weird. I'd also agree with exdeadman, saying there's a little too much acobatics. But then again, you've done the whole game by yourself. Nice job!
Don't like it at all. Poor visuals, confusing menu screens and crappy sfx make this no fun to play. Even more so, since I really don't like replaying real wars (with real weapons). Ok, those are just campaign names (and weapon names) and not objectives based on historic events - but still it's just setting the wrong mood, IMO.
Random disconnects and the following loss SUCK! Happened two times in a row now and it's totally ruining my stats. What are the stats for if i lose against the Kong Server instead my opponent?
:(
(Nice game anyway)
Neat game and STUNNING graphics. Only those obstructions don't quite fit in the visual style. Looks like thise default beveled edges in Photoshop ;) Other than that, the sound is great, moody. Looking at the ball I love the mirrored mouse cursor. Ghost rooms look sweet but at the same time when turned off the whole screen gets a useless black frame. Game area should be scaled up then.
5/5
