Great to see another game from you badged, I vastly enjoyed the other two. Not surprised about premium content since everybody's going that way and I don't really mind its existence. However, I don't appreciate the content from Ratchet and Clank. There is really nothing wrong with a few references, but this is really over the line.
@cid911 I'd like to retort here. We're not necessarily selfish because we won't pay KIXEYE. You mentioned that KIXEYE hosts it on a server. How difficult is it to automatically roll out updates from the server to the feeder site? Regardless of payment, Kongregate still brings them plenty of ad revenue - notice the nearly sixteen million plays. That still pays them. All we ask for is to stay up-to-date with the other sites. Also, I'm sure there are plenty people who pay money here. I'm more than convinced that the three sites together pay KIXEYE an ample amount to at least update us once every blue moon.
Started off pretty fun. The focus on achievements in order to gain upgrades fairly reasonably emerges quickly, which isn't too bad if they are completed. However, from 40+ onward and maybe earlier it's just the same stuff over and over again. So monotonous.
Also, the year is inconsistent. You start off on year 0, go to year 2 and then back to year 0. There is also the assumption that each month will contain four weeks. This works out to 12x4 which becomes 48 weeks which in turn becomes 48x7=336 days. I think that instead of using weeks to measure how long they battle for (unrealistic) it would make more sense to use a smaller measurement of time. Oh, and don't even get me started on the grammar.
Is it just me or is the Autumn "thropy" unattainable? You've created two Spring cups (May and July) a Summer cup that occurs in August and a Winter Cup in December. Also, there's an undefined cup at the beginning of March.
Oh man this game sure is the best game ever. I just hate the fact that I can't beat the Underworld Boss on stage 62. I feel like a pro whenever I play the game since I completely wreck at it.
So to anybody having trouble, the best way I know of to win is to use the pet that "scares" the flying monsters and makes them go along the ground, since this entitles to use only the boulder towers (which are quite useful). Go for money, then go for gems. Afterwards, it's up to you, you should be plowing through the levels.
Functionality issue - the A key seems completely unresponsive and is useless unless W is pressed and held first. This creates a diagonal movement, but the square still cannot simply move left with the A key. The arrow keys function fine. Overall a good game. Some polish and fixing of the aforementioned issue or key choice done by the user would be a good addition.
You should totally make a longer version, complete with plot synopsis of how the character is able to jump on the walls, why they lack arms/a face and why a black wall is chasing after the character. For under an hour, this is promising stuff.
Noted.
