The Letter to Kongregate
Dear People of Kongregate,
Recently, as many of you know, I have spammed the forums of Kongregate. Due to the inefficient Moderator/Administrator system, I was able to do this successfully for more than twenty minutes. This, however, was just a test of Kongregate’s efficiency as community and website to remove the troll. I now present to you a quote from Frogmanex (the only current active moderator of Off-Topic):
Regarding the spamming incidents recently, I still feel like it’s the community who’s lacking. Today, both I and AlisonClaire were online and available. I was playing Puzzlecore for the Tower tournament, and Idk what Alison was doing, but nothing too intense. No one said anything to either of us about what was happening in OT. I even had a few OT regulars actively chatting in my chat room who said nothing of it. The only reason I found out about it was because SicMirx (who you probably don’t even know) told me.
It’s been said before, many times, many ways.
The only thing that makes moderators different from users is our ability to lock threads and remove posts. But. If all of the users ignored spam/troll threads and spam/troll posts, there would be no need for those tools at all. So ultimately, the fault lies with you guys as a community. In the case of the recent bump-spam, there’s not a whole lot you guys can do other than alert forum moderators, but you didn’t even do that. And after the fact, I gave you guys a way to un-bump the threads, which would be super helpful… I wonder how many of you helped in that effort?
I find it ironic that when someone spams OT, you guys are quick to make threads about the lacking moderation, yet make little to no effort to fix it for yourselves.
Summer’s coming, which means there’s no school to keep the children out of OT, but there’s still life to keep the mods away. If you guys can’t handle it now… Oy.
I removed some parts of it, as some are unrelated to my response, but here is my opinion:
1) The Legendary power reached not only OT, but Serious Discussion among a few other places where my minion was working. Thus, you can’t just blame the users of OT for not warning you. You must also blame the regulars of all those forums, and overall, every member on Kongregate who would rather make threads blaming the moderators rather than the troll themselves.
2) Very few helped with that effort, as they enjoy trolls. They may not be so outspoken about it, but everyone enjoys a troll for entertainment. They discussed in OT (posts removed so I can’t validate) of how “bigissmalls was better at spamming” which brings me to conclude they enjoyed it.
3) You can not merely blame them. I played them like a violin_ (not Vanguarde, me and him may be somewhat enemies, as you shall see later in my letter)_, I came onto my minion’s account and began to semi-troll (which is a process of trolling but seeming to somewhat remain on topic or seem like I’m joking). Thus, I gained a little bit of trust. Than I began to full-out troll, in which they trolled back as I had taken their little amounts of trust and turned it against them, thus offending them. They were thus unprepared for my attack, and began to troll back, making them the bad guys as much as I was.
Suggestion: Appoint more forum moderators.
I flag a good amount of posts myself and I’m sure a few other people also do so, but that doesn’t seem to help much. More forum moderators means more of them would be on at different times throughout the day.
This is possibly the best solution to handle people like me; however, there are ways….. _(I’m retired don’t worry Kongregate yea seriously some people just ruin OT
4) The moderators need to be more involved in the community. Sure, they do some things and post every once in a while, but overall they are not as involved as they should be. This is an example of a TROLL posting. If you catch the troll in the beginning and before they rise, you can prevent future attacks. One of the results that surprised me the most was that the moderators and administrators were not being wary after a recent Vanguarde attack and with the 88_series.
The Letter to OT
OT, is my home, my heart, and the place I’ll stay the most. I devote a whole section to OT because of this.
1) First of all, you may address me “Legendary” or “Legends” or “Legend.” Stop calling me “The_Legends” or “Teh_Legend” or “LegendaryProphet.”
2) Second of all, my alts will all be identifiable. Do not question if someone else is me. Only I am me. Learn this, my dear friends.
True. Vanguarde wasn’t an outright dick. He actually explained his reason to troll in horribly long and boring threads that nobody read. The new Vanguarde (Legends) is just a plain troll with absolutely no class whatsoever. :D Smily.
3) You enjoyed my powers before, no? You joked around with me. You are an inferior fool, for not choosing a side and stick with it. You suck up to the moderators, and to the trolls.
Do you consider yourself our savior, Legends? Kongregate, ill needs a savior such as yourself. Bow down to me and I will forgive this insolence.moderators, and the trolls.
4) You seemed to enjoy arguing with me. Why the sudden change of mind? You know it, deep down, you all enjoy trolls. Otherwise, how would the names of Vanguarde, Bigissmalls, and YourMom12 survive so easily? They would’ve been forgotten if they had not been revered in evil or in good.
Hah, spamming one message, I correct my statement, you are not a child, you are less than even that.
5) Actually, there was a variety of 3-5 Messages.
I sense the new Vanguarde.
6) Stop comparing me to Vanguarde. I am greater, if not diminishing completely beneath my powers.
The Purpose of This Letter
7) Many people have said I do not have class, or I simply troll for the sake of trolling. Thus, I produce this letter. True, my spams were troll-only purposed, but I produced successful test results from my trolling.

This message was brought to you by the Legendary One of Kongregate. True, there may be many other Legends, but I am the greatest. Congratulations on reading this whole thing, and considering it spam although it is a valid post. Chances are you’ll probably remove this because you don’t have a good enough argument to counter it.
