So you want to make something like that. I’m not going to delve into drawing technique yet, as that is a very ambiguous topic and there is no single convention.

But you will need a drawing tablet – it will make things a hell of a lot easier, but you can do it with a mouse or touchpad, but this will limit the speed at which you can do things. Then you will need a program like Adobe Photoshop (any version, even 4.0 will do) or Corel Painter, Artrage, etc. Painter may be a little advanced for beginners though. and its editing features are weaker than PS’s.

When you draw, be very critical of your work. Always seek to make improvements. After working a long stretch, stop, come back to it, and see what you don’t like and want to improve. Self improvement is the single most important thing in creating strong work.
