first, let me say, i do not hand out 5 stars lightly, but this game has earned it. the game runs very smooth, and the game play is very user friendly. however, there are a few things i would like to toss out there for possible upgrades. this is just brainstorming. 1. the auto upgrade system is awesome, just tweak it so you can set up a ship you want focused on, as apposed to the cheapest upgrade possible. 2. a different color for your mouse. as i play, my mouse would get lost in the tangle mess of missiles and lasers, just having a different texture might improve the visibility of the mouse. 3. when progressing up levels the foes from previous levels stay behind, and when scaling back they are destroyed. i recommend wiping the board when progressing as well. this is more brainstorming than hard line, but this is a very solid game, and only can get better. fantastic work on this game!
adding to Iconian comment, on the first 2 tracks, take your time, collect every coin. you get to keep the cash after the round even if you run out of time. the coins do not respawn, however there are enough coins on the first 2 tracks to max out your acceleration and speed. after that, no need to worry about upgrades!
ok.... there are a few key things that need to be fixed before this game is really playable. starting with speed control. the game feels so slow. having a butting to increase the speed when needed would smooth out this game greatly. next is HP. how much do my towers have, how much does the target have left? this would make it easier to know if i need to reinforce the towers and add a booster to clear them out. then we come to "what does this tower do?" some of the are easy to figure out, others not so much. if i mouse over a tower, it should say "hp: XX attack: XX defense: XX, this tower tosses a chicken at the target and it returns back to the tower." that would make it easier to figure out what tower works the best, not trial and error. the base of the game is okay, but needs some major tweaks to really stand up among the throngs of tower defense games.
i like games that test typing skills. this failed at that test. i type a word, and it lags so far behind that it misses a letter, and by the time that my fingers stop typing, i have hit the next 5 letters already. the game has a good base, but dodging and moving to get out of the way was far too glitch-filled and sluggish.
as many people have harped here, i too do not like the new layout. the retro feel versus the clean feel of the last installment, leaves me longing. also, every achievement covers up the doughnuts. this is more frustrating when you spam buy doughnuts, and have to click away the achievement just to buy more. next point is the spinning "buy" and "squeezing/baking/drilling." signs! this has to be the most disliked feature of this game thus far. there are times i want to know, "how much to buy 100 more of this?" and i have to wait to see, and missed, it loops again, i have to wait to see it on the next pass. next is the picture in the corner. i know it is there for decoration, but its size makes it pointless. for the pros, the separation of the AI upgrades from the money upgrades. in short, i agree with many people, let the people that want to go back to the old interface do so, and those that like this interface can keep it. i like this game, and hope for more improvements in the future!
first, let me say, i like the game, however you knew that was coming), there is something bugging me. the math. now, i am talking math, not physics. let me give you an example. lets take a trip of 100,000 feet, and it takes 2 minutes. that means 50,000 ft/min. or a cool 3 million feet an hour. now, most of us do not do feet per hour... so lets get that into miles. 3m/5280 = 528 miles per hour give or take. see where i am in the game, the fastest i have shot out based on the in games speedometer is 120 m/h... now with that 528 m/h that is the average time over the entire run, not just the launch speed. just a detail that i noticed. :)
like the game, there are just a few sticking points, that i would like to address. 1. if there is nothing pending to sell, the moment enchanting gets done, it disappears into the sale box, not giving me a chance to see what the worth of the item was.
2. when crafting an item, the bars required do not get pulled until AFTER the crafting is complete (the opposite affect then the sales block)
on a upgrades to the game idea:
1. to promote when people are active, have limited time requested armor (copper sword with speed enchant) completing the request would offer greater payout.
2. mixed metals equipment. this plays off the first idea, requiring 2 metals (lets say copper and gold) for the request. to make this, you click on the request, so you do not have to add that into the list of metals.
3. with critical enchanting, have it where it can put 2 enchants on 1 item (thus increasing its value)
i am sure i will have other ideas, but this is a starting point.
from start to making my first rare diamond took me 4 hours and 45 minutes. now i am sitting here, scratching my head on what to do with these rare diamonds are starting to pile up. i know, i will take the diamonds and end world hunger (1 rare diamond would take care of that) now, what to do with the rest of the rare diamonds.... any suggestions?
Lirineu, if it is an app (not just a tab in the browser) there is a way to keep the game running even when not active. i think Bailey has the right idea and would love to see this as an app on the istore or play store!
first of all, love the game. however, there are a few things i would like to highlight. to upgrade my oil rig from 400 to 410 would cost me 202.073 sextillion. now to upgrade the bank, for the same 400 to 410 upgrade would cost me 729.268 sextillion, over 3 1/2 times more! next thing i notice is after a reset, you get 1 free lemonade stand tick. based strictly on the base times angel investors times .02. an idea i had was to add the button to type in how many you want to buy, it would show you the price as you typed in the number, and if you could afford it, it would add that amount. also, possibly adding in lifetime achievements that give perks that stick around after reseting. one more thing, maybe adding in an upgrade that DECREASES the cost per upgrade. i agree with some of the other comments, adding stats (like how much each stand makes per minute or per second) i just must ask, why does it cost 2 trillion dollars to by 1 lemonade stand? (400-401)
a couple bugs that need fixing that i have noticed in the short time i have played. the wave counter is backwards (it is wave you are on over total # of waves like this 4/8 not 8/4) next the reset button in the skills screen does not work. i will keep posting bugs as i find them. thanks for working on resolving these issues.
a few notes about this game. it is a bit 1 note. a few changes i would make. the top goals are worth more then the bottom ones. homer is tossing a soccer ball, which is different then a basketball. when you aim the cursor ahead of homer, the ball is thrown straight, not at the angle toward the cursor. (personal take) change the power up for maggie to rapid fire, and make the ball auto return. have the ball just fall behind the baskets, and homer can toss the next shot. not bad, just needs a few tweaks to be a fun repayable game.
This was a surprisingly fun game. There are a few points of criticism I’d like to make to make the game better. 1. I’m in 10th place and the barriers are still intact when I hit them. They should be destroyed by the person in front. 2. The walls need to be more solid. Hitting them does slow me down but it takes a while and feels like I’m using the walls (when there are walls) more as buffer pads than anything else. 3. (This is asking a lot...) 3rd person view. I love the 1st person view, but it is annoying when you hit a jump see the turn sign kick on and you are staring at the ground. 4. Having the computer fall off once in a while. 5. (Another big idea) level design: be able to create your own track. Have it where if I put in a ramp it auto builds the landing so I do not have to guess where to put it. I’m sure I have other ideas but this is an extensive enough of a list. Thank you for reading all my comments on how I would improve the game.
