May 14, 2012 6:46pm I too received nonconstructive feedback from ‘lolgay2’, after I invited him or her to elaborate I decided to visit his / her page, and notice that his/her mo is negativity, every game played or visited received negative feedback. Apparently these types come with the territory.

Chess is a highly tactical game involving threats and revealed threats to highly mobile pieces on the board. Your game doesn’t have this at all. Go is about acquiring territory by surrounding and taking your opponent’s pieces. The most important thing about Go is that you can place your piece anywhere on the board that is not occupied by the enemy. Your game doesn’t have this freedom. So in the end your game is a poor imitation of Chess and Go and ends up failing to match either. So here are my recommendations: 1. Allow the player to do more things per turn, like be able to build more than 1 weapon and attack more than 2 territories a turn. 2. Allow “armies” to exist, i.e stackable units which can merge and divide. 3. Get rid of chance altogether, since luck detracts from strategy. 4. Get rid of at least 1 resource, and integrate them more effectively. show less

Correction: I mistakenly said that you can only build weapon once a turn. This is wrong and I apologize. My point about the general lack of freedom still stands.

I might have forgotten to mention this: the restriction that you can only have one weapon on a territory is stupid.

I understand the idea of only restraining direct production of a unit type when one of that unit type is already present on the particular square, but why don’t the computers also have to follow this rule? Similarly it seems like the “fog of war” “feature” would only harm humans while the computers are immune to such visual penalties, unless of course it is somehow built into the coding to stop them from “seeing” it also. Regardless, it would be nice if the owner could at least see his own “fogged” unit (or whatever it is that happens to be “fogged”). I have to say though, the game is absolutely great and I can’t understand how it could possibly receive anything less than four from someone who actually played it. I personally liked the diving right into combat and figuring it out, but I bet the game’s rating would significantly improve if you included a tutorial, some sort of campaign, etc. It has one of the best replay values of any game on the site, and though similar to risk, it is a unique game in its own right. show less

Nov 23, 2009 2:34pm assult outpost is a simple game, you just sit in the middle and shoot, games like that as 2/5 at best, yet u stuffed abouted 50 upgrade options, which are all about the same, that’s what i mean by ‘a too simple game is too complex’. it’s like giving an army of 3 year olds super cutting edge weaponry, totally pointless

Aug 30, 2009 1:21pm On game options Number of Resources and Random Events don’t save the setting. On Map Options Water Area and Islands don’t save the setting. A redo button that used to be on the lake screen should be added to the save map screen to generate a different map without refreshing the page.

Aug 29, 2009 9:34pm I just reproduced the bug in a test game. Picking up then dropping off your king in a battle where you capture a ship will dupe your king and remove your horse.

I normally do not dupe kings when doing that move but I’ve seen the AI do it before I’m wondering if the captured battleship is the key. show less

Right now it takes too much clicking especially starting a game the players screen should start with a default set of players and the players and map screens should remember your last settings and use them as default next game. When generating maps filling in lakes could be an automatic step instead of waiting for a click and something should be done to make map generation more efficient if the number of tiles in the grid can’t be increased maybe reduce the number of tiles used by each territory for medium/large maps. During game play have the game automatically move on when you can’t do anything like development if you can’t build anything. A fast mode would also be nice where resources are distributed instantly each turn battle results take less time and the AI is more instant in many of it’s actions. Making the war room always available would also be good I don’t know how many times I’ve partially done an action then had to back out of it to check forces or stockpiles. Better would be separate direct always available buttons for those 2 actions. A more streamlined interface would be a convenience for repeat players and might get more people that try it to play through. As a separate thought having in game tips that during a normal game that can be toggled from the the war room or pregame config(a saved setting so you don’t have to turn them off every time) might help ease new players into the game. show less

There are just a couple of things though (please don’t kill me for giving constructive criticism) I had to frequently remind myself what the resources were called when I saw something like this: I 3 C 2 T 4 G 7. I got a little confused which was which. Also, if it is of no use to upgrade your portal beyond level 10, then why make it seem in the tutorial that you can? Anyway, I hope that this feedback helps. show less

Aug 29, 2009 10:59am bug with Kings of Conquest 2 If you add forces to a battle with a horse then replan the battle you will lose the king/weapon the horse was carrying.
