A decent way to go long distances very quickly, is to get a somewhat high trading level, buy a tiny, light ship with the lightest available engine, go where you're going, and then switch out to a bigger ship if desired. This doesn't work well if you're carrying more stuff than your trading level allows to be weightless, or if you're primarily a "freighter"(heavy loads, such as delivering food). This is best for being a "courier"(light packages) or getting out of sticky situations.
Hey people! Sorry for not answering for so long… I know that you all want to see Caravaneer 2 released. Me too. Caravaneer 2 is included in my long term plans, but I just can’t tell how long it’s going to take. I’m going to have little time for game development during the next 3 years, so the things will go slowly. Besides, there are a couple of things to do before starting Caravaneer 2. One of them is to make a new site that will be more appropriate for Caravaneer than Sugar-Free-Games. This is already half-done. Then I’ll probably make a couple of little games to promote the new site and only then will start working on Caravaneer 2 seriously. It may take a lot of time. I’ve no idea how much. Sorry for making you wait for so long…-SFG, September 20th, 2010.
