The second to last level was a pretty hefty jump in difficulty. While I was able to play pretty much all levels with the same outfit, I ran into a brickwall here. I bought new guns, which leveled the playing field again.
* go for houses with survivors first. the more you have the safer it is.
* get a helping hand and listen for the BING which signals that the off-weapon has been reloaded. * check your weapon-combo. i liked: * M4 - 4 shot burst causes lots of damage in a short time, aiming for the chest, then having the weapon pull up gives a nice chance for headshots * granade launcher * whenever the granade launcher is reloaded (listen for the bing!) shoot it into a crowd - continue to fire with the rifle when the granade launcher is reloading. a nice way to get rid of LOTs of zed before they come close. * explosives are nice but i did not need them shooting M4/granades combo * the hard material upgrade made the house invincible * melee guards are nice for extra protection * i always would have had enough time to fix the house anyway
i drove my plane off the edge of the world! wtf... i'd thought they'd turn away involuntarily or just pop out the other side or something. but first the control button was outside of the canvas, then the plane vanished altogether o_0
the camera is buggy. split screen or replays would be highly appreciated to figure out what actually happened to the 3 people while the cam follows a mine to infinity. also the controls would sometimes lock up until you hit the window with the mouse again. meh!
dear developer. please stop resetting my mouse. i need to look at the ceiling, while i think about how i am getting there, not at my hat.
nice music (i usually turn it off, but here i enjoy it).
excellent game. the buttons make it like portal, the textures like the first wolfenstein ;)
wait until the ending is ING. then try going, walking, seeing etc.
a bit of a manual would be nice.
and i thought it was unfair to take a cool ending (like ING) away, when you build a word with the requested start end ending. so never try hitting start AND end if you're on a cool part you want to keep.
i found it a bit hard to beat in the end. here is how i did it: 2 UAVs and the big rocket truck. aerial vehicles (suicide helicopters and big rockets) are priority one - a single hit can mean the end. the railgun is better against rows of cars, so if there are a lot of cars: aim for them. remember to replace your UAVs and occasionally sweep up to get rid of big helicopters and flying people.
i think i never had a game where i switched weapons so much just because it made sense. chainsaws against cars, flamethrower against balls, railgun while standing on people who try to pop granades on you. brilliant!
