What is written below was something I wrote about 2 years ago one night, almost just for nostalgia. Got a lot of comments on it, and Im glad so many people, esp. the older regs, liked it. Prolly going to be changed here in the new future though, an update after 2 years is definitely needed xD

Ive decided to put my history of my Kongregorian life onto this section of my profile, its far from being finished, still needs to be edited, but it sums up most of what I feel has been the best times on Kong, and thankfully, not many bad times. There are the daily jokes, the site-wide or room wide games, the late nights staying up to chat, the friends made and lost, the mute’ees and mute’ers, and all the other small things that have been either forgotten or misplaced. This ‘history’ is only brief, and it doesn’t contain everything I wish. But, it does give memory. And memory is the key. Hope you enjoy reading it!

HISTORY:
First joined Kong because I was looking to play the full version of Warlords: Call to Arms (back when YHTBTR and W: CtA were new).
That same day I found a few other games I then after really like: Boxhead: the Zombie Wars (or whatever..) and Sonny. That same day, I entered into my first and then favorite Room: The Bleachers (Not “Teh Bleachers”) and met my first mod Alcibiades. I then made a few friends that day in chat (and I think Alci too, well, he atleast remembers me).

Then it was just day after day I was on, meeting new friends and mods in different rooms (used to a regular in Buffet of Goodness and Cookie Kingdom).

During that time period (sometime after 2-3 months) I went into Buffet of Goodness and found somebody trashing President Bush and suggested that person was wrong, and sent my views of the subject out in chat. Before I knew it, the entire chat room was chaos: spam from god knows who was going out, everyone was talking at once, and some very hateful people were angry at me (like the guy I was talking to). Chat was moving like a blur. Couldn’t read anything. I left after that, hoping that no-one would decide to blame me for starting up a very quiet chat room (it was that day, until I started talking :/ )

After that, I was on for still a couple months, meeting people, playing Pandemic 2 (I cant remember if that was BEFORE the chat incident or not, I think it was close…). I can remember when I was in a chat room, and, as a noob, what I was said in the chat was actually RESPECTED and I was actually helped out in chat. Some very nice people back then…anyway:

A month or so past and then I stopped going on Kong. Can’t remember why, but I did. I at least didn’t participate in chat a whole lot whenever I did come on. Then it was the end of school in May of 09 when I started coming back to Kong. Then, I met some of the greatest people on Kong, ever.

The first day I decided to go to a chat and ‘pick a room’ (I was nostalgic for the Bleacher days) I chose Cafe Kong. There, I finally became part of a group on Kong, a ‘home’ if you will.

That first day (night actually) the people there took me in a showed me what it was like to be part of something, and from then one, I was. It was a non-stop fun, exciting, chat every night. There was always the mods: Hayato, Exia0, Tania, Spindax, Olimm, Poe, Pwnzor, Sakura, and a few others I cant even think of (pretty sure its just a brain fart, cause I KNOW THEY EXIST!).

Hayato was actually my own ‘teacher’ or insert similar word here that helped me experience what Kong truly was. I can remember her telling me what her then R stood for, when she was the Room Owner. If I had a question of what something was, she would tell me. I believe that “anniepi” said, “Boys and their e-pens are huge” (it was something with ‘e-pens’ in it) and Hayato asked: “Nite, what do boys have?” And then it clicked. I definitely know what those are now xD.

I learned that mods have a ban weapon (very important) and that Hayato was BA with hers, (it was mostly silences, but, who cares :P). Nearly every night there were at least 3 silences from her. Hilarious every time.

The regs at that time (some still are regs, if they rarely ever visit) were also helpful. They helped me learn to develop my own original personality and it was welcomed. I felt HONORED to be a part of this group. Btw, I was sometimes joked as the “village noob” or something similar, but it was a title that I only got, and I loved it!

Since that first night, it was a blast. Every night, till sometime after New Years it was awesome. Holidays in the CK were some of the best times to be on too, as everyone was usually off of work/school, it was snowing so everyone was inside, etc. Great atmosphere.

The awesomeness continued on (though it didn’t have that brand new OMFG ITS PERFECT feeling) till about a few months ago, in 2010 (I think in November, but that may be off) when it just wasn’t that great anymore.

We’ve gone through Room owners and resident mods (Hayato demodded, remodded, re-Roomowner, then didn’t have that, and now shes in a Room somewhere, probably not even reading this and forgot about it all, though she had some ‘issues’ with her job was moving on into the military) (duckyrox358 was a new reg, then respected reg for a short time, and he got his modship sometime around August, I think. might need to check his profile. Awesome guy btw, but he also doesn’t have his modship anymore, and is hardly on) (Olimm and Spindax were both on CK for awhile, and I havent seen either for, well, since early 2010. Both were great mods, and I believe they still have modship. Not too sure about Olimm though, might need to check his profile too.) (As for Poe, Im pretty sure hes still on and still has modship, as to where hes at…I dont know. He used to be in the CK for a long time, but disappeared around the same time Olimm and Spindax did.) (Pwnzor, sadly, is no longer with us (on KONG) as he requested to be perma-banned back in late 09 I think. He was great too, and was usually on every night, or when CK was busy)

We’ve had several regulars come and go, most of whom I can’t remember their names, and I forgot to add them :/. Some regs that i do remember and that I havent seen in a LONG while are:

UltraChao (might be -Chaos, cant remember. Always had the freaky eye face when you ‘did it wrong’)

crazieshado – he was on when I first joined the Cafe, and, along with Haya, were my ‘Guides’. He came up with the phrase : “Welcome to Cult…er, Cafe.” I also used this to great new people that came in, though I believe he eventually decided to ‘let’ me say it, because he came up with it.

kalstras – he was kinda, odd. Heh, I guess ‘quirky’ would be another word to describe him. He was great reg, I still remember him as a dog lover, because of the pictures he show us of his pets. Hes on from time to time, though not in the CK.

duckyrox358 – ive seen him recently in the Cafe, and hes good to talk to. I think I added him one time, and removed him. If hes not on my friends list now, ill add him in the future. At least hes on this one!

annipi- havent seen her in AGES. Doubt she still remembers me, as I was the noob in the Cafe. She was different in perspective about a few things, and I did learn quite a bit from her. She might be on somewhere, ill have to check.

DawnofAshes – Related to Hayato I think, course I could be wrong, that may have been a joke I just didn’t get or, something. He was friendly enough, and I still wish to see him on. He actually caused me to buy some music (Scar Tissue – RHCP) awhile back. He might be on, but havent seen him in the Cafe, not in a long time. Perhaps the ‘Gibson’ room if its still a room.

littlegoth and theSeraph – married couple that looves to play games, or, perhaps more accurately, likes the social aspect of Kong more than games. They always had great advice to offer (I remember Doug (Seraph) giving great advice, though desi did too. She wasn’t really playing games though, more of talking about her family and daily stuff that happens. Like most moms do.) Desi first taught me to READ PROFILES before you call them by any other name besides their username, even if someone in chat calls them different. Made me feel like a total idiot after the private convo we had, when she was trying to remember who i was, when we just first met! Gah, stupid stupid stupid!

VQuesadilla – girl reg that ive just seen recently in the Cafe, though she didn’t say hi to me or anything. She used to joke to Spin that she’d go visit him, or vice-versa, and she had a youtube video of her opening up a package and saying “Cuuube”. She had a relationship with some other guy on Kong who was her RL boyfriend, and they broke up because he was wanting some ‘pics’ of some girls in a multiplayer game. Great Reg.

DrProfessor – He once muted me because I called him Dr. Flab after somebody (Kevin maybe? something with Kev in it …) did the same thing . He later unmuted and forgave me after I eventually made an alt and apologized to him.

I believe thats it, in its nearest entirety that may fit in this space, of my history on Kong. I may add more in the future, as well as some more regs. I know there’s more people on CafeK_Friend account and the Cafe Kong wiki, so i might add more here soon. Looking forward to seeing new, present, and former regs again!
