bacteria td has very high learning curve. For me as a newbie, I will be kinda puzzled what each tower does. Here are some tips you might want to consider to improve your TD game. First, if you were planning to randomly generate different type of monsters and expect the player to know which tower to add on the board just by reading what the patient says, you need to explain what type of medicine does and what it cures. Secondly, use simple words instead of long difficult names to read, the harder you make it for the player to remember, it makes the player frustrated. Third, when user completes a wave, the patient could tell the symptoms, so the player can be prepared to place the next appropriate tower. When monster is able to attack towers, it makes the game a little too challenging, because the person have to read the description, juggle, upgrade, and repair. The controls are based on the MGS control system. They can be confusing at first because you can't back against walls in this version. But if you can back into walls, the control system makes a whole lot more sense. Hopefully the game can be expanded in the future to include sneaking and more.
Please see the new version of Bacteria Tower Defense 1.0 - with a good number of changes as you guys suggested. Thanks for the feedback! I'd delete this version but seems like I can't.
Thanks for all your input for the beta version! I tried to put in as many of the suggestions as possible. There have been some minor changes in the gameplay. I hope the new UI is easier to use and less confusing. And an optional tutorial is now included detailing the basics on picking towers and the rest of the features. Will be working on badges in the near future. Hope to make more and better games for you guys in the future.
