spellblazer was greatm but when is the next one coming out? yes, more uses for gold would be nice, but i think we have enough spells, since we can only use three for a battle, without the dark magic, or, if you think you should add more spells, make sure there is a way to get more spells in a battle, like having experience points for every battle, level up so-many times to get another spell-slot. also, if you make buying spells available, please make a spell selling place, so that we can get gold faster, it gets annoying trying to get gold when you have to go to the next area(east) to get more gold to rest.

Very nice combination of elements! I get my RPG fix while satisfying my occasional need for puzzlers. Nicely animated with vibrant colors. I love the auto save! And the main character is kind of nerdy to boot! :)

Love the game. I’ll agree it could be better, but can’t that be said about all games?

Critical strikes wipe out your opponent’s defensive blocks and also increases the effectiveness of your next spell, right?

Nice concept, but I agree it could use a lot more explanation. I’d like to know what the critical strikes mean. What is the best way to play them?

add a guide, more uses for money, a longer storyline, more magics, deeper explanation, and more choice in gmaeplay, such as getting for or five in a row adds an extra turn, and overall just get the game puzzlequest: challenge of the warlords and use that for ideas. but honestly, you made an amazing foundation, and just need to build on it. want more advice/help email me at mccann314@gmail.com

You need to explain the game a bit more; blundering around and guessing how the battle mechanics work by trial and error wasn’t really fun, especially when it seems so random: I hit his weakness for only 10 dmg, later I lose and replay him, I do the same attack but this time it does 20+dmg. What gives?

It’s nice to have plenty of towns, but… god, there’s NOTHING to do (except rest), you might as well have put generic checkpoints.

Not being able to see what you have, stats or quests or anything, makes this more of a puzzle game than an RPG. I slogged through it only because I wanted to see the ending. Frankly I didn’t like the fighting, even though I was trying hard to, and not because it was the main activity that takes up the player’s time.

Also, delays are too slow. Let the user click to advance dialogue text, don’t use timers. I’m a speed reader and I get seriously annoyed at text that I can read 5 times over before it changes. Clicking to progress would be much better.

Other than that… well I don’t really have much to complain about the story, it was ok, and yes despite feeling that it was more of a chore than a game, if a sequel comes out I’d probably play it too… but only because I want to know what happens.

As for the issue of not enough uses for gold (over in the comment to the right): why don’t you add other spells you can buy. It could make the game a lot better.
