I would like the option to save whenever I want and not rely on autosave. There is no indication when the game saves. If you buy gear and then quit, your new gear doesn't save. You must play at least a round to get it to save. Apparently, the autosave is immediately after the round. Even if you allocate skill points after a match, your changes don't save.
Scored 45500 first time. Good game. Maybe give a special power or item to the player that allows you to bulldoze a tile... awarded once every other level? Or three for the whole game? There comes a point where you realize that losing is inevitable despite having quite a few blocks left to fill. Giving the player a lifeline of sorts may provide some hope.
It's worth saving up for the last helicopter. Once you get the green one (3 slot), you can play level 11 over again a few times to get about 30-33k per completion. The red copter is much more responsive due to its increased speed rating and the extra slot helps once you have an upgraded minigun. Once you have the red copter upgraded with 3 slots, the rest of the game is a breeze. You can replay level 12 at 50-52k per play to get the cash needed to max whatever else you want before finishing the game. Sure, it's easy enough to do it with the green copter, but more fun to mow everybody down with the red one. :)
I love reading complaints from people in the comments section like "the plane doesn't have a magnetic money pickup" and then realizing they rage quit before buying a better ship that sucks up money like crazy (the 3 slot helicopter for instance). I wonder how they wake up in the morning, what with the stress of getting out of bed before mom gives them their Ritalin.
I like this game. Vote it up so we can get some achievements. For the dev, the only thing I would like to see is more of an on screen tutorial in the shop to explain what upgrades will do if I buy them. Will upgrades on ships give me extra slots? What will stats be if I upgrade a weapon? That sort of thing.
Mouse control would make this game better. At the very least, being able to shoot with left mouse. It would be nice to be able to swap player one and two control schemes rather than individually define each key since WASD might be more natural for some people. Also, is there a pause button? Somebody came to the door during a game and I had to quit. Considering some of the basic interface and control mapping flaws (although relatively minor in nature... and perhaps intended), this game has quite a high rating. I'm surprised.
The multiplayer button seems laggy at times. I will click on it and the window fails to open immediately. Then, perhaps anywhere from 2-5 minutes later, it will open. If I click the button three times, three windows will open... meaning, a window will open in the middle of a single player match, I will close it, then another will open, I will close it, etc. This also happens with the "share" button. It seems to queue up the commands and execute them (when the server is available?).
I liked this game, but it was too short. Also, it would be cool to have more character abilities available as the game progresses. All in all, I'd rate this 5/5 just because I enjoyed the gameplay so much. It shouldn't be difficult for you to add new content to the existing framework. You have a solid foundation which to build upon. Please continue development. Try not to limit yourself just to more "chapters". Add more characters, perhaps allow character customization. Are the maps made ahead of time or is there a script to generate them? Perhaps if there is a script, players can continue to explore the dungeons without the need for the developer to spend time writing a story. The story is fun, but gameplay is the meat and potatoes.
