Terrible game, the dev was trying for too many different things without focusing on any one thing enough, and the upgrades in this game need to be completely reworked, they are wretched. Who would get an upgrade that made enemies shoot faster? That's not an upgrade. Trade offs and this is even worse for tradeoffs of that scale are ridiculous.
Good style, lots of variations in levels and enemies. A few points though.
1) AI is too simple
2) The player level-up interface is underdeveloped in comparison to the rest of the game
3) I feel like this was balanced thinking that players were meant to abuse the ai, otherwise the way the maps are set up and the computers act unfair, all ganging on whoever is weakest regaurdless of distance or practicality
4) the early enemy types don't scale in power.
5) The amout of points to capture a planet seem very unbalanced and random (small planets takin 300 some times while next to huge planets hat take 40)
Because of these I'm giving this a 3/5 although it was otherwise a very good game.
It could have been good, but it needs much more content and more to do. Oh and the boss scaling is terrible. Not sugar coating it. This has potential but where it has weakness needs drastic improvement.
