This is not a perfect game by any means, but it is very relaxing. I play Disgaea 4 on my PS3 which is very involved and kind of frustrating sometimes, but here in Starbucks, I can relax with Protector IV.V and sip coffee just to take a load off of everything. ^^
Two deaths on Final Boss Akron on Epic Mode and counting. That goddamn Cosmic Monolith that arbitrarily shows up halfway through is a FREAKING. NIGHTMARE.
Actually I take my statement back. Star Hairclip + Lv5 Crystal Staff works very well in the first half of the game, but right around World 4 it starts losing its awesomeness (I play on Epic Mode by the way) and you start needing to exploit the type weaknesses more in order to do more than bruise them. I found that Matt's Reflex spell, the Flare spell and the Ninja Gear items are EXTREMELY handy, when multiple enemies cast many multi-hit attacks in a row and half of the blows miss your guys, it helps considerably.
(to SolitaryCZ) Natalie, with Level 5 Crystal Staff, Level 5 Star Hairclip, maxed out Lucky Star and Star Shower spells. You will almost never need anything else. ;3
The final boss, man. Kupo, you've outdone yourself. This is Gainax shit right here-- the very last phase left me seeing stars after I closed my eyes. Beautiful game.
Ahh... >_< This game, guys. It has multiple endings. You get to choose which destiny you want to earn, and... I think I picked the worst one. I feel like I can't live with myself now. ;__; God... this game, it's beautiful... heart wrenching... agh
GUYS. You have GOT to buy this game. If you have any means whatsoever to obtain 50 Kreds and purchase this, do so immediately. The full game is CRAZY AWESOME, easily best purchase I've made in months. Hilarious dialogue, engaging storyline, engaging GAMEPLAY, sheesh some of these levels really make me sweat! (I never play on Casual Mode. Ever.) I'm not even halfway through it and I'm loving every moment of it. 50 Kreds is too generous for this amazing game. :') I will likely support this company's future games with cash if they continue to be such fantastic quality all the way through.
*has 325 Kreds left over from two years ago*
*buys Full Version before even trying the game out*
*trolololo to all you poor kids, mow some freakin' lawns or whatever* :p
One of the things I like about this game compared to other Tower Defense games is that there aren't any special powers, like how most TDs give you meteors or bombs or whatever to get you out of trouble every x seconds. This game isn't like that. It's pure tactics. ^^ I love it.
The music is amazing. Especially the Twisted Void. :O I sometimes leave this game on in the background while writing programming code, just to listen to the music while I work.
You're quite talented at level designing. :) As for the rest of the game, it's "basic". Good, but basic. You obviously have a future at this game design stuff; what you need to do is start pushing your limits a little. I for one would have added a lot more game elements to this; give the characters different abilities, add new things to the levels, etcetera. And again, level design is probably your best quality. 4 out of 5 for this game; well done, bro.
I've always found Cthulhu and the other Old Ones to be such amazing, fascinating and majestic creatures, and have taken comfort and a feeling of safety to imagine myself captive in their embrace. ...Should I be worried?
Who here can kill the Orc Warlord boss (the first one in the game) in a 3x combo with the two Shamen in one hit? That's worth freakin' 3000+ Exp! :D It felt AWESOME.
Day #140: Impossible Mode, Huge City completed (via Attack Last Judgement), 50 survivors, 78 blocks secured, and only 3 deaths. Jesus Christ, I was FLYING at the beginning; you kinda have to be lucky, but more than that you have to not be afraid to spread yourself a little thin. You need to turbo-rescue survivors even if you're at like -10 Food per turn, and rely on Scavenging to get food and loads of Equipment Items that boost stats en masse. It was a workout, but I finally did it, and I hope others find my advice useful. :)
(to Arus51) Yeah, but you're not gonna get every single survivor. There will be plenty of other (possibly better) chances, so it's best to just take the Suburbs and sacrifice those survivors, and continue progressing as quickly as possible. Don't worry too much about it. ^^
