A bit vigilante. I won't take retribution against people I don't know for an incident I know nothing about. I'd feel more comfortable if there were a system for anti-theft a little more professionally organised with some democratic and judicious process - anyone could be added onto this by request even if they'd done nothing wrong. Maybe if the evidence were presented I could make a call either way. Although I certainly appreciate the effort, game stealing reduces the incentive for great developers to make these games, especially small and independant ones. Maybe we need a logging system, a bit like game patents.
If anything it seems to draw the units and RUs from Homeworld. Good job I don't care. What I do care about is only getting a few hundred $ for each replay, which means I have to replay a level 5 times just to get the simplest of upgrades to give me any difference or advantage in the subsequent levels. Otherwise fun!
It's not made clear, but other jobs can be done to get money for better weapons for the infamous target level. However, I could easily stockpile money, buy an AK-47, then a SAW, then complete all the missions. Now I'm left with the defense game, which with a SAW is about careful clicking and ammo conservation - not exactly thrilling. Good idea for a game, but it needs more pacing and challange, more specific purposes for the weaponry rather than shoot targets with a pistol, shoot targets with an assualt rifle and shoot tar... you get the point.
iSketch implements this much better, with chat restrictions, voting against people who just draw the letters out in handwriting, multiple themed rooms, the lot. I don't work for them, it's just a hideous fact that this game isn't well implemented IMHO.
I think this game misses the point a little by showing us a bad game, then satirising us for telling it that it's a bad game. Perhaps what we need is a better comment system so that people who have played longer, or who have bought and used kreds to reward developers have a higher weighting when it comes to game voting. Or anything to stop idiots voting down unnecessarily, while people with genuine criticisms can vote down. Or a system that allows us to rate each part of the game for graphics/music, interface, fun or somesuch - to make the voting a bit more cerebral.
This game is condescending and arrogant. I've never made any of the comments it displayed, next to my name. I have kreds in my account, and I've used them to pay game developers. And if the game really does lag, or have bugs, or have a stupid control system then I shouldn't be critizised for saying so. Any developer that doesn't like the audience's responses can either dismiss them as morons, build a game they like or take their work elsewhere. A genuine 1/5.
