Try making the gravity little higher, and put an option to play with arrow keys since it's hard to jump on sad smileys with so little space when you're only used to using WASD in 3D games.

Controls are kinda touchy. You press the "d" key, and you fly across the screen to the right. Might want to adjust that a little bit.
