Beschreibung
Tower of Evolution ist ein klassisches Jump'n'Run mit besonderem Twist. Dieses Spiel wurde für Ludum Dare 24 in nur 48 Stunden entwickelt! Du startest als primitiver Affe und musst den Turm Etage für Etage erklimmen, indem du deinen Charakter durch das Einsammeln der rotierenden Mutations-Blobs weiterentwickelst, Gegner und Fallen umgehst (Blobs dienen auch als Spawnpunkte, falls du stirbst). Um das Spiel zu gewinnen, hat jedoch jeder nur eine Wahl... Das Spiel wird noch herausfordernder, wenn du versuchst, mit anderen Charakteren als dem feigen Astronauten zu gewinnen. Das bedeutet, du kannst die Blobs nicht einsammeln (also keine Spawnpunkte!). Tipp: Das Spiel mit dem Start-Affen zu gewinnen, ist der höchste Schwierigkeitsgrad.

so all kings are mutants?
All creatures are mutants :-) ... because mutation is a big part of evolution and dna recombination.

Don`t know if you still are gonna work on these but here are some issues that I would really apreciate to see in a TOE 2.
1- Make the jump more like a parabola shape, it`s ease to control the character in the air and make the game more real;
2- upgrades. I can see a branch were mutantion also improve your character, them the player can choose in persistence (go without any) or perfeccionism.
3- I really liked to see the falling, really. If you choose to make a sequence and go philosofic, you could add branches that can only be reached with mutantions, with each one as a seven deadly sins (e.g. Wrath allows to kills enemies, Sloth gives more time, Gluttony gives more health, etc).
4- And, if you really give the trouble to add all these, each one sin can modify something (e.g. Lust give color, Envy lock the entrance) and for Pride, you could make a hell hard to obtain as he is falling or the Tower get demolished revealling a secret passage.
This are really good ideas. Some of them i had in mind during Ludum dare. But when i run out of time i choose to polish. I'm thinking of an upgraded version.

Those tall spikes are way too sensitive. You have to be within a small two pixel spot to make the jump properly. I think they need to be adjusted a little bit. Other than that it was a fairly fun game.

This game has a lot to become one of my favorites, gave 5/5 (when even the monkey couldn`t trespass I thought: "lol! Even animals can go to heaven". Loved the game, it really make me think (and kind reminded Tower of Heaven from mirosurabu) :D

So, I won as monkey and still couldn't trespass...
The game ends with the WIN screen. Sorry but this game was created with all content in under 48 hours for Ludum Dare compo.
