Direkt nach “Flur” von letzter Woche ist dies das zweite unserer Game Slam 2011 Spiele. Die Idee war, dass jedes Zweierteam innerhalb von drei Wochen etwas Originelles und Fertiges erschafft. Das dieswöchige Spiel ist Battle Blocks Defense von Tosh Baird und Warwick Urquhart. Battle Blocks Defense ist eine innovative Mischung aus Puzzle und Defense, bei der Puzzleteile auf einem Raster als Schilde, Angreifer und Energiequellen platziert werden. Kombiniere gleichfarbige Teile in einem 3×3-Block, um einen Mega-Turm zu bauen. Nur mit dem richtigen Gleichgewicht aus Türmen, schnellem Denken und starken Nerven schaffst du alle 50 Wellen feindlicher Angriffe. Viel Spaß beim Spielen und sag uns, wie es dir gefällt!

the main problem i see is how bad the large red blocks are, they need a higher firerate to be worthwhile to build, 9 normal blocks deal much more damage than one super, the only positive thing about them is they aim at enemies on any lane

Either I'm missing something or this game is waaaaaaay too hard.

It can take a little while to get the hang of, but once you get there you should find it become much easier. Try to build red super towers early, and put green shield blocks (or a super shield tower) in front of it early on. That will make life much easier!

I actually enjoyed it a lot! The ideas are fun and well worked, which is tough when there are so many repeats out there. The progression of the game was the weakest part for me. As the area you have to defend gets bigger, the number of pieces you can use to build stays the same. It seemed a little more frustrating instead of challenging. But, great job for a game in 3 weeks. Your games are always very well polished which I appreciate.
