This is a well polished game, with good graphics, plenty of weapons and enemy varieties.
I personally would prefer the difficulty curve to be a bit steeper, maybe have more ranged enemy varieties, but that's just me.
I don't know why Kongregate is so biased against top down shooter's regaurdless of how much effort has been put in. This game scored much higher at newgrounds.
You deserve a better score here...

Good music, good system, specially having to exchange life for better weapons and ammunition. More maps and more different kinds of enemies would help.
The only bad point in my opinion is having to use space for shooting, it's too uncomfortable, at least for me.
