the starting conditions are all wrong. Your supposed to start with four in the middle two of each color where either one could take the lead. These starting conditions give the cpu at least a 10 ball head start by the time you get anywhere. Redo.

Not particularly brilliant. This will put beginners off for sure. I slaughtered it quite happily but it started to cheat after a while, putting it's tacs in the corners when there wasn't anything it could take by doing that, or not putting tacs down and just flipping over my tacs. It took one of my corner pieces once.

Your engine is brutal to a beginner but falls very easily for side forks and has no concept of corner defense, working to the side, or pushing inside an enemy's line. Also, after the third game you start by placing the chips outside the customary starting position, giving the engine a subtle but unfair leg up. I went five games before finally getting bored - 2/5, and the one's only because it's not a completely bad engine or badly made game. It's just that there's much better, and this one cheats.
