Well sure - you still have to make a great game. Our goal is to make it easy for really good games to make money, not to make money off of bad games. ;)

Creating a game alone is difficult.
Then, you have to think about actually making it fun.

Guys, you don't have to ask to upload a game. You can do it freely. The only thing you would need to ask for is a sponsorship from Kong.
To clarify, you do need permission before publishing a game that requires either an iframe or virtual goods. However Altiarshadow is correct: free single-player games are self-service - you can upload and publish them without any permission from us. :)

I want to make games for this site, but I'd have to create it as a .exe file. Does Kongregate support that? If not, is there a good free file converter to use?
Also, I'd like to use the APIs, if possible.

When uploading a game, You must check "This game does not contain any outside login or microtransaction systems, including Mochi Coins or Armor Games Interface (AGI) features containing a login system.".
Does i mean I have to use Kongregate server for my MMO game? Is it possible, to use Kongregate login system, to auth own server through some API?

i've always had an interest in going into the game developer field, and i figured that flash games were probably the way to start. The only thing is that i have no idea how to make a flash game. I have some basic programming experience on HTML and Turing from a Grade 10 computer sciences course and will be getting more in Java next year in the Grade 11 continuation. Anybody have any sugestions for where I could start reading up on to make some simple yet good flash games? It'd be a great help.

I used Stencyl it's really fun and I made a game called "Destructoid", it's a simple avoider game witha gun. I now wondering if I can upload m update to it and replace the original game (my update has a cheats page and more controls, though they must unlock the cheats page) Hint to all those who found my game, in my update the first cheat is pressing "C" (for an insant powerup).

How do spinoff games work? Obviously there are people that upload tetris remakes and the like; there's even CSPortable. Are we allowed to make money from those since they are obviously not original ideas?
