The strategy that worked best for me:
1. Try to get as much cantrips (lightnings) as you can, save money to spend it in the next shop.
2. Don't buy any splash upgrades, only shields and cantrip. Splash makes it harder to control the blight spread from the Blightsack.
3. Focus on the top row, your pawns will turn into queens which makes it a lot easier to move across the board.
4. Don't let Blight Matron move around too much. Lead it to a corner (I found that the top right corner is the best place to lead them in the Gauntlet)
5. If you have a piece with cantrip and a piece without one and you have to choose which one you should give the shield upgrade, choose the one without cantrip. You don't want to get stuck with a hand without any shields. Cantrip always draws another card.
6. Try to leave "safety spots" with low damage so you can hop there in case of emergency.
7. Always look on your deck, sometimes it's better to skip a turn than to risk getting stuck on a high damage cell.
I logged on today after I took a little break from playing Kong games, and I thought to myself "What a wonderful game was Swords & Potions, maybe I should start again". Then I saw this on the front page.
IT IS MY DESTINY!
The best way I can describe this game is:
"Finally! all I need to do now is just jump above the spike and go to the exit.
Wait, no, no no NO NO NO NOOO!!!!
Oh,man..."
Great game thought. 5/5!
This just one of the less common known cases of: "help! i'm being attacked by a zombie! oh, wait... that's just my girlfriend". I just hope it won't happen to me, I really can't afford a cage.
Fortunately the scrap metal industry booms in a zombie apocalypse.
