Okay, I have not touched hard mode... but normal mode is embarrassingly easy. There isn't really any need to buy ammo or health, as you can get more than you need by picking it up.
There really aren't enough good strategy/sim games. My biggest problem was that the game slowed down like crazy toward the end. Also, the bonus/penalty system is... vague. I have no idea how it works.
THE MOUNTAIN DEW IS A LIE!
I did Litharge with just one atom, and while working on Aqua Fortis, wondered how difficult it would be to do the same thing there. wyzelli, your machine is crazy!
Wuggle: to unlock the Angel unit, you have to upgrade all the tech for all three races. This necessitates playing the first 16 levels (more-or less) three times, once for each race. The three races are basically identical, so it quickly becomes a grindfest.
On top of that, I have never seen so many typos in a game, and the story is poorly-written. Several of the units have different names depending on whether you're reading their description or watching them on the battlefield.
Some of the music is bearable, but some of it is basically random noise.
I am serious when I say that the game's only redeeming quality is the backgrounds for the levels. The sad thing is that a lot of people probably saw "pretty" and gave it a 5/5 just for that.
I definitely didn't give this game a 4. I beat it, got the badges, didn't enjoy the experience. The game doesn't suck because it is hard, it sucks because it is easy but time-consuming. It sucks because it isn't fun. It sucks because the developer punishes the player for clicking outside the game. The people that rated it 4/5 or 5/5 either didn't play past the first 5 levels, or are just deeply stupid.
I only used the Barret when they were piling up too fast- it may kill a bunch of zombies in one shot, but it's hard to make sure they're all headshots. That said, I haven't gotten the sniper badge yet, so what do I know.
