This game is a true testament to post-modernist humanism. The Flower has absolutely no lag and runs on minimal processing power; the game itself is a model of efficiency. Although the game lacks audio, flowers are the music of the ground. In addition, I believe the lack of music is a tribute to Rachel Carson's Silent Spring, a novel that laments the loss of songbirds due to agricultural reliance on toxic pesticides. The again button is symbolic of the cyclical nature of life and may be representative of the inner psyche: man must wilt and decay before renewal and growth. The beauty of the flower is contrasted against an empty background, a statement that true beauty requires no context. In sum, sapje juxtaposes the stark surroundings and silence with a message of beauty and hope. 5*
I love this game! I thought i'd get bored quickly since it seemed like such a simple platform but the way the developer started introducing physics and switches was really cool! Great job capricorn :)
The graphics are incredibly detailed and for a moment I thought I was on an oculus rift. Although the bumblebee does bear slight resemblance to an owl, if you look closely you can see triangular eyes, suggesting a possible link to the illuminati. Although game play was a bit laggy, I understand the servers are still in alpha development, and for a MMORPG, this game had detailed character development leading up to a riveting storyline. 10/10 would play again.
