Love maps, agree with an auto trap maker, late game jobs are meaningless, and its all about farming... consider adding another multiplier for jobs, or just increase existing one. at 20+ jobs seem meaningless (include block)
its a bad fight to be 32, they attack first, cast haste, kill all but 2 of your troops, best case you root, or buff 1 troop, but the fight is over, you've lost. for your game.
Thanks, for your feedback. High level game balance is a very complex thing and is hard to test without lot's of people playing the game. That's why the game is in beta now. Actually the problem you described is mage vs fighter specific, and we knew about it, and made some balance changes during last major update (right before starting beta on Kongregate). Even though our internal tests has shown that it is possible to win such battle (using mass roots + dark lightning and proper artifacts), we decided to make some improvements to give mages more variants (coming soon). Sorry for possible inconvenience.
so, i have all the monsters out of portal 3, I have top tier spells, I spent 15k diamonds or so. Do not play this game. There is nothing any of you can do against the top tier people. The developers will tell you that you will not see them. Once you hit 32 they are everywhere, and they will destroy you. This game is not worth your time. Please do not play this.
Also, according to our logs, you fought much higher level players (your 32 level vs 35). So if you would kill those guys, that could have been reasonably qualified as p2w. But you have proven the fact, that no matter how much diamonds you've spent you can't kill higher level players.
But I have to admit, that while everything is OK on low to mid levels, as there is enough players. On high levels there is not so much players, yet. This results in more often meeting players that began playing a bit earlier then you did. But hey! This game is very young! After it will be launched on Kongregate and mobiles, there will be enough players and enough targets for everyone.
We did carefully listen to what people say, and decided to simplify the rules of entering the 3rd portal. Now you are able to enter the 3rd portal solo if we haven't found you an equal opponent during 5 minutes. Very soon mobile platforms will be started and there will be enough people to play with.
graphics are fine, quality isnt everything and it has a *feel* which is nice. Level 100+ the game changes dramatically. your rogue is immaterial, your mage is only useful for normal levels, and its you and the tank to take bosses. if I had it to do over id keep the mage 50 levels behind the warrior, ignore the rogue and also keep up the manual (click) heal level. its the only way to survive bosses.
your new events have killed 15 of my population, thank god you havent coded it correctly to remove them from their assigned tasks. This just means I will eventually have 0 population. I will never be able to change worker assignment again. costs for a new villager dont seem to drop for the dead one.
This is now fixed, thanks for reporting!:) Also, the only event which kills villagers now is the wolf attack which is preventable through walls. The others have been removed until there is a larger pool of beneficial events
so, im a couple of days into playing. Population seems useless. Consider tying the upgrades in buildings you unlock to a population person to acquire them. So I would be managing my population between open buildings. There seem to (for me) be little enough of the high tier buildings that the population would work in this way. This may change as I continue and population continues to slow faster than everything else. TLDR: Try making it so to get a benefit from a building you need to assign 1 population to it?
for badges: Use easy mode and try to always get out an Astral Guard as soon as possible. If you can keep it up you can beat any of the levels no matter how many hitpoints the boss has, it may just take a while to do the damage. Great game Devs!
