I came to botd realizing I played the game before and had team of Warrior (tanks and clears lower floors with Overkill), 4x Clerics (for blessing and overhealing), 1x Ranger (for actually killing enemies). Although after collecting gold from offline bonus, buying some armory upgrades (for more blessing and warrior's taken damage reduction) and prestiging a bit, I found out my blessings are potent enough to buff me more than enemies gain stats at the next floor. As soon as that happened, instantly went from floors 50-60 to 150+ and still going; not even bothering with new layers of prestige yet.
entered the game for BotD again (having easy badge already). Looks sharply different from what I remember, I guess now it not only tries to suck player's wallet dry, but also considers said player brainless. Duh.
Stumbled upon again after 6 years.., I guess crusaders are just too cool looking. Will likely not stay for long, however - too much p2w.

this feeling when I just wanted to finally unlock back-piece equipment and somehow ended up beating final boss... guess Adv.Execute and Fire 3 bonus gave me enough strength to just brute force there. As of my opinion, this game is balanced generally well, in that it allows multiple ways to win. For what I think is weak, its Air (not strong sides and relies on luck more than needed), there are some other things I'm not sure how to use but I simply didn't test all of them yet. All in all, this diversity makes the game very good!
Thanks a lot! Great breakdown and good points. I think air is probably a bit weak but instantkill was definitely something I didn't want to run amok, especially if you have adv berserk making your AGI go crazy so I did play it a little safe there. All good inputs and I'd love to explore new kinds of Set bonuses and combos in a full version. Jumping from the back-piece area to the boss is CRAZY actually lol, I usually get beat down quickly in the next area if I'm not prepared for the speed changes.
finally was able to find most of videos, thank you guy in comments

only one missing is one at start which is basically summary log
I found missing agent's code, K-23-15-8, in order I got after entering my own code. When I tried to start another game and enter that missing agent's code, it didn't work :(
Maxed out money drops, then javelin cooldown - entire bullet hell mechanic feels vastly different when you are not trying to out-melee those who shoot you, and just spam javelins instead. Wolves are cannon fodder because they don't shoot at you. Health potion best potion because its only way to heal self up until vampire armor. Buying serrated sword somehow increases javelin damage :) All in all, not that bad, but feels a bit incomplete, could use items giving different playstyles (instead of straight "new item is stronger"), various bonus drops, some enemy rebalance, and perhaps obstacles that not only block your movement but also block enemy bullets
This game has great potential, but numerous flaws - too many to be listed in a single comment. The only selling point is that you play as literal Edgelord :)
ok I got secret ending... honestly, it doesn't feel very good. Made feel efforts go moot :( Of course, game design itself is decent, its just storytelling that needs improvements
Didn't particulary liked how game was implemented. Upgrades are too generic. Powerups don't scale with upgrades. Most "enemies" are boring asteroids. Stages are quite repetative except boss stages. Achiements aren't interesting or worth grinding for them, either
For "best" normal weapon, basic halberd is extremely good. Dont look at its lowest base damage, main advanatge halberd boasts - supreme range - is greater than any other melee weapon in the game. This is important, as melee swings can destroy or reflect enemy projectiles, and with halberd's hitbox its extremely easy to keep yourself safe from ranged attacks. In level 6 its even possible to skip most of last puzzle by swinging halberd to trigger lightbulb through wall
