The level design is exquisite, as is the number of levels. Platformers of this difficulty tend to drag on and on, causing the difficulty curve to plateau, or forcing the developers to use cheap tricks for difficulty instead of established game play elements.
The big flaw with this game is the controls. I've got nothing against mouse control, but confine the cursor to the area of play first. After that, you should change how you go into "look" mode. I lost count of how many times I went to jump, ended up clicking my character, and was suddenly taken on a scenic, no protagonists allowed guide of the level.
To those who complain about the tab problem: This is solved by opening a whole new window. Blob Idle will continue to run and earn money and such as long as you're surfing the web via another window.
IDEA FOR PET PROTECTOR 2: You get to specialize yourself as a teacher. Like classes of Protector. You do this at the beginning of the game and it levels up, but make it tricky to balance leveling up yourself and your student. ;D
