They are easy now; they just nerfed them in an update. The problem was originally that they would hit you with their big beam that they use once every 3 rounds and can freeze. Originally it would almost always freeze your team unless you had epic freeze resistance, and then their enemy team would keep you frozen until you were killed. There was no chance to actually stick a syphon on them. However they now nerfed them as I said, so they freeze you 30% less of the time. No kidding, before they were nerfed I spent more time fighting this one monolith than I did the dragon at the end. Killed that first time.
