Thanks for all your feedback.
The call for a save function is heard loud and clear. But the game is too complicated and has many in-game elements to be able to save within the Flash size limit. I have given up on saving the game in the current version.
5. Please keep up the feedback so that we can release a better version next time.
Thanks,
9mine
To answer other suggestions:
1. The 10% upgrade logic was fixed
2. The city area a soldier can defend depends on soldier type. For example, because calvary soldier can not get up on to the city wall, it can not defend the city wall but what's inside.
3. Some players have reported Flash errors which we couldn't reproduce, so we can't do anything about it.
4. A player may find himself suddenly with a lot more soldiers, it may be due to a new batch of soldiers have just been trained or a group of soldiers have just returned from outside.
Hi, guys,
We have developed a new car racing game called "Speed Warrior". Before putting it up on Kongregate, we would like to invite some friends with go "driving" skills to beta test it offline.
Please give me a whisper if you are
1. good at playing racing games
2. good at catching bugs in games
3. fluent in English so you can help proofread the game texts
4. want a first look at our fresh new game
We plan to send the game .SWF to about 10-20 players who respond first. Please forgive me if you don't hear back from me. We may have enough testers by then.
Thanks!
This is the general release version of TG2. Improvement from Beta version include:
1. A strong auto/manual save/load function
2. Narrower roads leaving more space for buildings
3. Kongregate stats/high scores.
4. More help text explaining the game
5. Adjusted difficulty levels to make easy easier and hard harder.
What's left on our agenda to fix:
1. Yes, the save button. We will make it work.
2. Typos and English. Anyone who wants to help us proofread the texts? Please send me a whisper or something.
3. Story Mode - We will have to add some stories or change the name to something else.
4. We are testing the Kongregate high score system. Hopefully soon players will get high scores and badges.
Hello, here are the latest updates for Beta, per your kind feedback:
1. Get rid of the Load game interface because it's not doing what everyone is expecting it to do. We are working on a real save function.
2. Added some help comments on what locations are not allowed to build. (Basically most buildings cannot be placed right next to each other, because the buildings' footprint may expand after upgrade)
3. Added hero skill desciptions in Hotel Panel
4. Trade Carts can go through each other without colliding and waste time.
5. You are allowed to build towers farther away from the Temple
6. Fixed the Battle Report's "NaN" bug
7. Adjusted the "Diffculties" of the game. Made "Easy" easier and "Hard" harder, with "Medium" staying the same.
8. Creeps can walk through even other now, unless when they are standing still and attacking a building.
Please help us beta test further.
After reading all the feedback so far, we have decided to make the following improvement and fixes.
1. Make a better save button - because the game has so many elements in play, saving the whole scene with all element status at any give time would be extremely difficult. We have decided to provide the following workaround - players will be allowed to save the game when the current round of enemies are completely eliminated and the next round of enemies have not appeared yet.
2. Allow trade carts to go through each other instead of bumping into each other and waste money-making time.
3. Better tutorial explaining more detailed game rules.
4. A restart button for players to surrender the game
5. Better heroes' skill description
6. Allow players to build towers farther away from the Temple
7. Fix bugs like creeps getting stuck somewhere.
8. Proofread the texts
Please expect to see an updated version in 2-3 days.
the "boxing glove on the truck " is sort of a giveaway/comic relieve scene for you to accumulate some ammo and restore life. I have to admit this level is a little bit poorly thought out.
MassiveDamage, Jack Reaper, here are my thoughts:
1 Slightly more zoomed out view so you can see more on screen at once
===> too late for that, the screen size is fixed now
2. Center the screen slightly in front of the player rather than having the player dead center all the time. This will enable you to see further ahead
===> Great idea, we will implement that
3. Have weapon switch on the mouse wheel ===> We will do that, since so many of you have asked for this feature
5 Make special weapons more powerful ===> Not sure about this, I am afraid to make the game too easy to win
5. Allow you to quickly fire a grenade/purple laser by pressing a hotkey ===> We will consider that.
Thanks.
HatMan, great comments, thanks! Here are some replies:
1. autofire is triggered if you press on LMB for longer than 2 seconds or so, to free your right hand. You can click again to turn that off
2. I will rename the propeller jetpack
3. I will consider letting player turn the jetpack off to save fuel
4. I will add the disorientation meter/indicator
5. You can see what's below by pressing 's' the squat button, unless if you are firing
6. Yes, the bubbles make you float uncontrollably if you are hit with enough of them. You can't burst them, but only wait it out.
Please let me know what you think.
Thanks, Blazinice, for the great bug find. We will fix it in V1.06.
GD_FierceDeity1, the invisible object bug is caused by the game's inherent pathfinding logic and it will be very hard to fix in a short time in V1.06. Sorry.
Sebux, in V1.06, you will have an option in Settings to turn off Music while keeping the Sound Effect on.
We will release V1.06, which will probably be the final version for Chapter 1, within 24 hours. So please send us more feedbacks ASAP.
Is the "instant kill/damage ratio" bug fixed from your point of view?
Thanks, everyone, for the bug reports. We have just released V1.05. Hopefully, it has fixed the known errors so far.
1. Infinite gold
2. Objects' price index (an object's sell and purchase prices vary thru time)
3. Attack still goes on when game paused
4. adjusted some equipment attributes and boss attributes
5. Armor Store sells armor and jackets
6. Modified [Space] function
7. Save/Load and AutoSave Bugs
8. Buy all and get negative gold bug
9. Preview function for character and equipment upgrades (to see what it may effect HP, Exp, etc before Confirm)
10. Fixed the "Damage Ratio" issue, hopefully, by lowering the ratio, so that character doesn't get instantly killed.
11. Moved the message box to not obscure game playing screen
Please help us improve the game by telling us what you don't like or what you find wrong.
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback regarding the bugs---
The buy-all-get-negative-gold thing is indeed a bug, we will fix it in the next patch.
Regarding the "inst kill", we are not very sure if it's a bug. Typically one can get seemly instantly killed because he/she's poisoned (there's a poison indicator on the top area). When the character is poisoned, the indicator turns on, and your HP gets reduced gradually but steadily. If it may seems that you are kills by a powerless attack but actually your HP was depleted by the accumulated poison.
The poison effects are cumulative. Say if you are poisoned by 1 bee and your degree of poison is 2 and next time you are attacked by another poison carrying monster and poisoned by 3, then your HP will be decreasing at a rate of 2+3=5 per interval. So make sure you keep a watch on your HP and poison indicator, and always carry some antidote with you. The magic shop owner can cure your injury and poisoning.
Oh, btw, the saved games from previous versions may not work with the newer version (v1.04). Sorry about it - there was a glitch in it, too, that needed fixing.
We have fixed the reported bugs, especially the infinite gold bug and added some minor features. Please help us test the game further. BTW, thanks for the encouragement.
Thanks.
Could you please send me some information on how to reproduce this "infinite gold" error, such as screen capture, level, situation, etc? We will fix it.
BTW, any comments on the game, such as what you don't like about the game, what features you would want to be added, are most welcome.
Please send email to support@9mine.com or use Kongregate's internal functions.
