Yeah, I'm with the other commenters who have said there's no real "spin" on this game whatsoever. Don't tell us there are innovative mechanics when there aren't!
It's INCREDIBLY annoying that you can't get to the mute options without shutting down the tutorial. That lost you a star right there. If I end up loving this, maybe I'll reconsider, but I guess I'll have to wait until somewhere I can make a horrible amount of pointless noise. Dammit, people. 2/5 >_<
Yup, basically what I expected -- a really good, polished game, in a genre I despise. :) (Too fiddly. I HATE finding out I essentially was on the right track, but was a pixel or two off.) I'll give you a Gentleman's 4/5 because you've obviously put a lot of skillful labor into this game, and I want to encourage you to make more games, just not physics puzzles. :)
Seeing the words "free-to-play" in this game's description just made me laugh and laugh, since MOST of the games are free to play on Kongregate... but the ones that say they are, are almost always derivative MMOs that require tons of purchases to play effectively. You seem like a nice, interested bunch of developers, but not only am I not interested in games like these... frankly, I think they're a plague on Kongregate. :(
My only tiny tiny disappointment in this game is I wish you could change the geeks' dialogue so I could beat the living snot out of a Westboro Baptist target.
You guys are really scummy. Reddit caught you stealing other people's art resources to promote your games: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/14miwe/how_have_these_guys_not_been_sued_yet/
The UI feels a little clunky and overly dense compared to previous installments, but it's endearingly clunky in a way that rewards attention and fiddling. Definitely like the card updates. There's still a tendency to rack up obscene amounts of energy and have nothing to do with it, with some decks, but not as pronounced as earlier versions. And I like the self-destructing structures -- we kinda needed those. 5/5
Great shooter. Lazy programming, like the fact the mute function DOES NOTHING to silence the third level boss. Some of the worst dialogue I have seen on any game on Kongregate, ever. Improve your production values and you'll be cranking out 5/5 material. HINT: FIND SOMEBODY WHO SPEAKS DECENT ENGLISH.
One other tiny thing I love about this game: the "normal" monsters who are an actual threat all look kinda mocking and cruel. The "legendary" ones who can really only help you just look... vaguely grumpy but tolerant of your shenanigans. Like they're about to sigh and say "Meh, it's a living." That makes me smile. :)
Uh, the music is really good but maybe a little too somber. And the gold value of missions doesn't really seem to keep up with everything else. That's it. That's the absolute worst thing I can say about this game. 5/5, NOTHING else about this game was not good.
As soon as I realized you could get gold from hiring your ship out, and not just from buying it or slogging through levels... 5/5. Thanks for doing it that way and making the premium stuff truly optional!
I dunno why this is getting mediocre-to-good ratings. I think it's got a surprising amount of strategic depth -- it's not THE best shooter/strategy I've ever seen, that still goes to Enigmata, but it's FASTER, sleeker and more interesting from moment to moment even if it is a little quirky. I would love to see a sequel. 4/5
Okay, it took FIVE FREAKING MINUTES but I finally got the snake to fly overhead. It turned into a pretty awesome close-combat and I am now running around on a pretty wolf eight times my size. All's forgiven. 5/5
I think it's possible to get permanently, completely stuck on level 2 against the snake-robot-thing. I am completely out of rocks to stand on, the trees and wood are apparently immune to bullets (!!?), and I can't push anything usefully. Check it out, please? Meanwhile... 2/5.
Would it be too much to ask that you actually PLAY the game and base your feedback on that as opposed to the TEXT we wrote to describe it? Honestly.
