After her disappearance, he mentioned that he is satisfied that she is gone and said that she even bullied him. Then you wonder: Why not Nate? Well Nate is tougher (no duh) and will absolutely beat up Patrick, so Patrick goes to the ladies and decides to kill Anabelle. Just my opinion.
