I love this game, and every other Kingdom Rush... but good lord that last boss is hard! There must be a secret that I'm not getting, because it seems like a stray arrow from my last tower is a pretty close call. 5/5
Love this game. Played through it a few times, and am impressed at how hard some of the achievements are, even on easy! The game is forgiving though, in that you can't lose, and it's more a challenge to do it as best you can. I loved the first KL, love this one, too. Looking forward to more from you guys.
I first saw the graphics, and then noticed it was a clickfest, and I thought... meh. Somehow I kept playing for an hour, building up to that point where I could let it idle while I slept. I checked today, saw $64M, used it to upgrade considerably and get to new gems, and will now walk away and come back to it tonight. It's a fascinatingly simple/boring concept that has some odd sense of payoff in return for a minimal time investment. It just feels good to know you're making gold every second. The math and level progression feels pretty reasonably calculated and great. I imagine the upgrades go to infinity.
I generally like this game. I think it would be more interesting if there was research that upgraded the weapon types - something requiring the player to make a decision about specialty (like choosing between faster fire rate and more damage).
Also, I can't agree with people who want the speed button to be toggled. If I'm doing things in the game, I want the game to be slow. And if I have nothing to do, then my cursor may as well be over the speed button. Toggling would just complicate things more.
The game is really fun so far, and ever since the original fallout i've loved this steam punk and 40's music combination. i was falling asleep, decided to try this game, and the music woke me right up. my only complaint is that it must sap a lot of power. Upgrading guns and firing the eye of sauron is a trial of frustration with the lag i experience. i know that not everyone will have that issue, but you shouldn't need a gaming rig to play flash games.
Game doesn't seem to be working for me. All I see is a tree and a mountain, and there are no enemies and no shops. Based on how you've described it, it seems like you're working on the battle system for now... I would suggest having hotkeys and fixing the tooltips to display the whole message of a spell's effects.
I wish there was a flag on every game that had a "pay for content" feature. Shame. And this looks like it was made with RPG Maker. Not exactly a professional attempt at anything. If only I could give 0/5.
The art is pretty great. That's kinda it. Gameplay could be tighter, with the strike occurring at the point of contact, instead of when the attack starts. First boss doesn't die when his health is low. After my shield broke I got it back. Weird. The scene is grossly repetitive, and the music sucks. I would also like to see a shop (or upgrade menu!) after the first level, for all that gold. Experience maybe? Do something about the ability to get more coins by beating enemies shitless after they die -- it's a tedious chore to beat a dead alligator (or voodoo teddy bear). Again, I have to reiterate that the artwork is amazing. You've got something in this, just fix it up and max it out.
arbitor, that's pretty messed up, cause i got all the scores on easy... except chorus of bells which is killing me right now. and the note timing is definitely not synced correctly with the music. It's not an issue of lag, it's an issue of mistiming. Control layout is the best that can be done with a keyboard, just clean up the notes a bit.
Great job man. As for why people's adventurers don't always progress, here's why: It's based on level. Wouldn't want your level 4 mage going to level 8 would you? Great system, and when they're ready for the level you've created, they'll go.
How do you mean a thief with steal speed and amount upgrades?
