Hm. I really like this game -- reminds me of classic NES titles such as Mega Man or Clash at Demonhead; a lot of the complaints I see generally seem to be the same, die and progress. I haven't gotten that far in the game, 4th level, but I've only died three times so far, twice in the second level and once at the first boss. Sure the ability to duck would be nice, but it doesn't intrude on the gameplay too much since you rarely are placed in a situation where ducking would prove beneficial. Many of the archers are outside, so you can easily jump over the arrows like all of the projectiles in any other Mega Man game (granted you can slide in a majority of them, but still, no ducking). The only complaints I have so far are the music and the constant lagging. Overall, a very nicely done game.
Meh. It had some cool sequences, mostly just the laboratory portions, but the secret laboratory and "Awesome, you escaped but it's not really a happy ending ahhh!" is a tad cliche, which hampers this game from being anything more than decent. The voices in the background seemed very conflicted with themselves, "Don't let him escape!" but then they say "There is no escape, you are mine." Yeah. . not very intimidating either way. Good graphics though, and as people have said before, hardcore timed sequences in an adventure game, just not cool.
A lot of people often comment on my games having no threat. I did create the 'hardcore timed sequences' right at the beginning of a saved level so it's not like you have to go back miles to retry...
