The AI is deeply unintelligent. I've seen it play "sturdy mount" on a wall, choose to attack with a sniper bot when my railgun had only 1 health left and play enchantments that had no effect on anything on the board. I agree that this game is very similar to MtG, and that the card balance is way off but I still like it very much. Just a shame that the AI is so stupid ...
Banshee cry is overpowered as a skill. The option to upgrade your weapons is nice, but it would be better if it was directly linked to the shop. There's too much dragging around and clicking with the mouse. Otherwise quite a decent game - much the same as the first one.
3/5 because I love the original game and because I still really enjoy the idea, but truth be told then too many of the levels are essentially repeats with new colours and possibly a hat added ...
This is a very well executed little game - I love the music and the atmosphere of it. The block puzzles are just challenging enough to keep me comming back without being too frusterating (well, most of them). Well done.
Fantastic idea, poorly executed. Lacking a lot of finishing touches that would have made it more enjoyable (such as a more balanced gear distribution and a bit of gear for the combat medic). Also, I'd like to be able to control all my troupes myself - hate watching the computer mess things up. And why no automatic looting?
Two problems: 1. If you are going for a real world map, you might wanna include all the countries (iceland?) 2. I don't think insects and rodent care if the airports and harbors are open or not. Countries adjacent to each other should be possible to infect as long as the borders are open. Just IMO
Oh, while I'm at it - there were two reasons why I didn't give this game 5/5. Some sort of "now you bought your first item, remember to equip it" help would have been useful. And secondly (and more importantly) there are some obvious hints at sidequests that seem to have been missed (or else I failed to figure out how to solve them). Where are Grandpa's glasses? Could you find and kill any showbirds for the lady who is eating her man out of the house? Stuff like that would have added a bit of non-linearity which would have made a cool game even cooler! :)
Good game - I liked the length, makes it playable for me in one sitting. Good balance in bossfights, never feel impossible, just hard. Going to be fun to see where this story is going, keep up the good work!
